This back plate, also known as a wedge plate, is sourced directly from the manufacturer for use in log splitters. It is a flat, metal plate found at the rear end of the machine, with a length of 8 inches and a width of 2 inches. It provides support and stability to the log splitter during use. The plate may fail due to excessive stress, physical damage, or corrosion. If the plate has cracks, or bends, the log splitter will become unstable and unsafe to operate.
