Used Phillips #2 screwdriver to remove old handle.
Used the two original screws to attach the replacement handle. Repair completed in less than 5 minutes!

Removed the control panel, one screw at the top. Removed 2 screws on the door switch holder and removed the door switch. VERY EASY.

thank you for the video--very clear, responsible, applicable although the illustration was not exactly of our kind of light. the bulb was exactly like the one Hotpoint used in its microwave made in 1989! pluged wires back on ,placed lamp holder and bulb back and replaced screws

Tyring to get bulb out i ruined the light socket. Unscrewed the bottom cover of microware. Took out screw holding light socket, removed wires to socket with pliers, intsalled new socket. It was a piece of cake and the part was a perfect match.

Removed difuser (one screw), removed old bulb, screwed in new bulb, replaced difuser.

Because of it's age and my memory of it's wall installation problems, I was extremely happy to find the parts. Merely popped the old "fried " support bracket out, snapped it the two replacement brackets and I was back in business with a "new" spark free appliance. Thanks ever so much! I removed the old handle and replaced it with the new handle. Using the two screws from the old handle. It took about 5 minutes to complete the job.

Removed the 2 screws at the inside of the microwave door-can't miss them, removed the handle. I think it took more time to clean the area around the handle on the front of the door than it did to replace it. Anyway, held the new handle in place and re-attached the 2 screws and it was done.

Simple. The parts came instantly. The glass was too big so I had it cut to size. I unscrewed the fixture with a screw driver replaced the bulb and slipped the glass cover into the frame and screwed the whole assembly in.

Replaced the sockets, lens and bulbs. The first time the new bulb was touching the lens and the heat broke the lens and burnt out the bulb. The second time I adjusted the socket so that the bulb does not touch the lens.

Impressed by how quickly the parts arrived after the order was submitted. Two days.

Ordered new support (price was less than Postage) Ordered for Microwave, should have ordered for Convection Microwave. Filed side SS to fit part ordered, after much filing got the new part (wrong) into the side panel. Looks great, wrong color but should be OK/

Screwed in new bulb.

Had to use a hammer and small screwdriver to remove some of the old plastic. If I had a small drill that would have worked better. Once I got that off is was easy to unscrew the old screws and replace the handle. It fit perfectly.

First I removed the two screws that held the handle on. Then I laid the handle down in the way it was on the microwave to be sure I didn't put the new handle on up side down.
