KGCT366EBL0 KitchenAid Cooktop - Instructions

I just replaced the broken knobs.

Gently pressed the lower two clips onto my thumbs as I pressed the skirt into the cooktop skirt hole. Be gentle or you can break the new skirt!

Put the new pad in and it was done. Very easy.

I pulled the knobs off, lifted the broken skirts out and snapped the new ones in.

removed igniter and found porcelin split in half. JB welded both halves and put back into slot ,works fine now. Bought two extra in case.

Removed cooktop; replaced spark module. Originally ordered igniter switch - in error. Returned and ordered spark switch. (Should have studied the electrical diagram first. )

TURN OFF THE GAS SUPPLY & POWER TO THE STOVE. Disconnect the gas line & power source to the stove. The most difficult part of the job was removing the retaining ring and installing the new ring.Job successfully completed.

the decorative backings on our stovetop knobs had become frayed, and I simply pried off the old ones,and installed the new ones. I have use Parts Select for years for various parts replacement, their service is quick and accurate. When I need a part, I always check here first.

Just replaced them.

Very simple, cleaned out what was remaining of the old rubber feet and just pushed these in. I didn't bother glueing them in as I didn't feel they would fall out. If they do, I'll go out and obtain the glue that is mentioned by others in this thread. Very satisfied.

removed one screw lifted he brner took retainer off unpluged the igniter it had broken porcelen reversed the procedure everything worked fine

I was able to order the part I needed. The faulty pad had a broken stem.Several pads came in a bag so if I have the problem again I will have the parts on hand. I bought some RTV glue suitable for items at high temperatures; used a probe to make sure the hole in the grate was clear and clean and glued the new pad in place.

I took a jewelers screwdriver and completely cleaned out what was left of the old pads. Then applied a small amount of heat resistant rtv sealant to each hole, slid in the new pads and wiped off the excess. I let everything set overnight. The next day everything was solid.
