IM115 Uni Ice Maker - Instructions

Pulled Out Broken Draw then put new one in.

Ordered ice maker, watch video of how to. It takes less than 5 min. Installes just like the video. Loosen 2 1/4" Screws, lift ice maker up, unplug old unit, Reverse. Just make sure water tube is lined up when you install new unit and wire is tucked up out of the way. Mine did not really start making ice till the next day.

Unplug refrigerator , loosing two screws. Lift ice maker up to remove from position. Disconnect electrical connection. Reverse procedure to install new ice maker.

loosened 2 screws with 1/4 inch nut driver, disconnected electric connection lifted old ice maker out, replaced it with new one hooked up electric plug tightened 2 screws

It was very simple, used a nut driver to loosen the attachment nuts that held the ice maker in place. Disconnected the wiring harness. Removed the leveling tab from old ice maker and attached it to the new one. Then reassembled in the reverse order. As they say it was no brainer! The best part of the repair, was hearing the ice dump.

This refrigerator is less than 2 years old. I have had to replace the ice maker 2 times now. Cheap ass parts! Only one ice maker you can order so just be prepared to replace it yearly!

Removed 2 screws that hold ice maker in place. Unplugged and took out of freezer. Used the screws I took out to put new ice maker in. Plugged in the power and in 2 days I had a full ice bin and haven't had any worries since. Should have replaced the broken one along time ago but thought that the process was harder than this. I found that the fill solenoid for the ice maker was down to a drip when energized. I ordered from this site and replaced. now plenty of water, but the ice maker would just stall and jump teeth. The problem is "the ice maker". I have replaced it 6 times.

removed ice maker storage holder and then remove two philip screws and unplugged four pin connector. removed ice maker and installed new one . very easy to do

Followed on line video. Also water supply tube on fridge was full of ice. You can pull it out and run hot water on it to clear.

The instructions that came with the replacement icemaker were very complete, in particular concerning the small levelling bracket on the bottom of the icemaker, because the old bracket needed to be removed from the old icemaker and transferred to the new one. The old icemaker was removed by loosening two nuts and detaching the electrical connector, and the new one was installed in its place. Fairly simple, the whole job took about 45 minutes because I work slowly and carefully. A more confident person could probably have the new one installed in 15 minutes. Only drawback: about three to four weeks after installing the new icemaker it has begun making a loud clicking noise on occasions. It is a repetitive (5 second interval) clicking, and only happens for about a minute every few hours and then stops. I am concerned that it might be gears prematurely wearing out and slipping. I guess I'll know in a few weeks if this one stops making ice.********************************************* Update: after about 9 months the new icemaker quit working and will need to be replaced. I removed the front cover from the icemaker and could clearly see that the teeth of one of the plastic gears were worn out and no longer meshing with the opposite gear. The drive gear was just spinning in place and making no contact with the larger gear.

Pulled unit away from wall and shut off water and unplugged unit. Installed water valve and reassembled, plugged back in and turned on water and checked for leaks. All good. However there is no water getting into the ice maker. The unit itself is going thru a cycle of attempting to make ice and the bail is moving and you can hear the sol ... Read more enoid activate but no water. I have tried to blow thru the tube going to the maker but it seems to be plugged by something. I do not know if there is another valve up there or how to clean it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

installed new ice maker. Was very esay - the only problem I had was the length of the wire, due to the need to use the adapter, was hard to menauver around so that it didn't contact the bottom of the ice maker. Would be best if it was configured so that you had the right wire connection and didn't have to use the adaptor.

The service man that I hired to fix my Ice maker removed the broken one. This is how I saw how easy it was to install. When the new one arrived all I had to do was plug it in then tighten 2 screws with the right size nut driver. This was the hardest part of the install havng the right tool for the job. Now I have Ice!

It was just a simple replacement, three nuts to loosen , a slight adjustment on the timer and reversal installation...As simple as replacing a light bulb! You needn't be a brain surgeon to do this job! Your installation video was very helpful....Thank you PartSelect Chuck McCann
