Remove outer tub from transmission assembly.
Replace inner tub gasket
Replace outer tub gasket
Problem encountered was that the replacement tub had a defective air bell. The washer consequently did not detect fill level and subsequently overflowed flooding the laundry room. The bell looked ok visually. Blowing into the air tube while plugging the inside hole with a finger revealed a pinhole leak in one corner of the PP weld. PartSelect was prompt with replacement, but the job had to be redone in its entirety.
Always test the air bell before installing an outer tub.

We have a Jenn-air washer & dryer that we bought new & are now almost 15 years old. I just put about $20 into the washer that took me about 20 minutes to do the repairs. Change tub to pump hose & lid hinge pins. The dryer was about $40 to fix. Blower wheel & drum rollers. That repair took about 40 minutes. Both units you have to take the

First replace the hinge but realized it was actually the hinge pin thar was broken. So we replaced the hinge pin and the hinge on both sides and it works like new. It was only necessary to replace the right hinge pin, but we replaced everything since I had already ordered the parts. Check hinge pin first.
