All of stove top parts grungy/peeling/burnt out
0 of 1 people found this instruction helpful.
  • Donna from Carlsbad, CA
  • A Bit Difficult
  • 15 - 30 mins
  • Nutdriver, Pliers, Screw drivers, Socket set
Replaced all 4 burners, grates, pans, middle grate and fan/light switch. No real "repair" except for the switch, which has two phillips screws to remove the little panel the switch is enclosed in. The fasteners holding the switch TO this panel were VERY difficult to remove, you have to destroy them to get them off! Once that is done, remo ved the wires from old broken switch, placed them on new switch (now attached to the panel) placed panel back in to position, replaced the two screws and DONE! It was all quite easy and the stove looks brand new now.

The stove top parts were stained and unsightly. I did not realize but the burners did not light correctly--i just adjusted. I was about to have an appliance person come fix the burners I use most. The burners came with the tray and grates.

Worn out burner grates
  • Richard from Omaha, NE
  • Really Easy
  • Less than 15 mins
Lift and replace. This was the only web site that gave a picture with the correct size of the grates I was looking for. All the other sites gave approximate sizes and universal part numbers instead of the vendor part number. That is why I bought it here. I didn't want to have to return the product because it was off just a bit.

Old burners
  • Alan from Scappoose, OR
  • Really Easy
  • Less than 15 mins
  • Nutdriver
The issue: the burners were abused by the previous tenant, the burnt grease was clearly visible. They would hardly ignite and the smell of gas was always present. The remedy: new burners. They were hard to find, I was not completely sure about to stove model (it could be quite a search to find the right ones). There is a front burner and a back one. I was not sure from the diagram about the back one, so I called Partselect and someone answered the call right-away. The burners arrived a few days later, and they were the correct ones. The burners are not Jenn-air specific, it looks like several brand names use the same ones. The installation was extremely easy, a few hex screws. The stove is like new. I highly recommend Partselect.

Replaced Grill with two burners
  • Michael from Topsham, ME
  • Really Easy
  • Less than 15 mins
  • Nutdriver
Very simple project. Had no clue it was so easy! To test how easy it is, remove the left side grill parts, move the grill parts from the right to the left! I had no idea there was a micro switch in the cooktop to change the fan operation! Parts arrived quickly. Only received one grate of the set, this was quickly fixed by Parts Selec t Customer service! We only used the grill once, made such a mess! Why did I wait so long to do this! (Over thirteen years!)
