This was a wall mounted oven. Turned off breaker. Pulled panel off by removing 6 screws. Pulled connectors off old switch. Removed old switch. Just a friction fit. I used my jack knife to get it moving. Pushed in the new switch and connected wires. (just push on tabs) Put panel back together and turned on breaker. Done, easy.

bake element burnt in two pieces
  • Michael from Salem, OR
  • Easy
  • 15 - 30 mins
  • Nutdriver, Screw drivers
Removed oven from wall. Door slides up and off, and 4 screws into cabinet removed, and oven slides right out onto a coulple kitchen chairs positioned to support the oven. 1 man job to lift. Used nutdriver to remove metal cover on bottom back of oven to expose the slide on electrical connection. Used nutdriver to remove old bake element an d install new bake element. Reconnected electrical wires, reinstalled back cover, and then reinstalled oven into cabinet. I actually removed the internal metal cover over the convection fan and element also but probably didn't need to do that to remove and install the new bake element.

The Metal Fasterners Did Not Line Up With The Holes
  • BARBARA from FRESNO, CA
  • A Bit Difficult
  • 15 - 30 mins
What I had to do was skip holes, but the more holes I passed over, it did not end up smooth. The gasket is some what wrinkled. If all the holes had lined up it would have taken about 20 seconds. I took it off and on a lot trying to get it smooth. Finally I said well it's just going to be wrinkled.

Powered Off completely
  • Mohammad from Piscataway, NJ
  • Easy
  • Less than 15 mins
  • Screw drivers
After reading reviews that there was no power what so ever and a fuse replacement will solve the problem, I tried it. Replacing the fuse is very easy (and I am not handy at all). All you have to do is remove the microwave cover from the top by removing two screws, slide the cover to the left and pulling the cover off. Then remove the g rill in front of you, by removing one or two screws. The fuse is in front of you, use pliers and be firm but gentle. Replacing the fuse is easy but it did not solve my problem.

Broken Roller Guide
  • Claudia from Monroe, WA
  • Really Easy
  • Less than 15 mins
Lifted up the glass plate. Put in the new roller guide. Set the glass plate back in place. Repair done in about 30 seconds! Thanks for prompt service in sending the new part. My only regret is that the part was expensive, and I have already replaced it once before. The new part is still plastic so will probably need to be replaced again.
