8800 - Instructions

I was astounded, I ordered the part on Thursday afternoon and FedEx delivered it on Saturday afternoon. Great overall service.

To diagnose the problem I felt of the element a few moments after turning the oven on. It was cold. (rocket science, I know). I ordered the element replacement, which arrived less than 24 hours later. I turned off the power to the oven, unscrewed the old element and pulled. I pulled down the wire around the glass cover. . . Released on end of the wire from its holder being careful to not let the glass cover drop. Unscrewed the bulb and replaced with replacement. Easy, easy.

I took oven door apart and replaced old gasket with new one.

Had to screw off old terminal block & screw on new one

Received the part the day after ordering. Appreciated the quick service and repair took less than a minute.

I went to the source of power on the stove and noticed one of the terminals had come loose from the terminal block and had shorted out against the cover of the terminal junction. Just like all the others, remove the two philip's head screws, and pull the wires out far enough to remove connectors. Install connectors on new element, push the wires back into the holes, and screw the cover plates from the new element into the back wall of the oven.
