Just like the diredctions described...loosened two screws from front and unhooked door switch..removed front of dryer..took belt around drum and held belt while collapsing the pulley...easy about 15minutes to repair.

First I unplugged the dryer from the 220 line. Then I removed the 2 screws at the dryer screen. I then popped the top, unplugged the control wire plug at the top right inside corner of the cabinet. After removing the front of the dryer I placed the 12 oz pop can under the dryer barrel so it would not fall out of the rear boot. I placed the new belt around the dryer drum. At that point I folded a part of the belt and threaded thru the idler pulley and then around the motor pulley. I streatched the idler pulley bracket and placed it into its positioning groves and was done. I then placed the front dryer pannel against the cabinet and with one hand supported the dryer drum, the other hand removed the pop can, put the front into place along with the screws. Plugged in the wire, popped the top down, replaced the dryer screen screws, plugged the dryer in and dryied my clothes. The belt fit perfectly.

Just as the other posters noted... I followed thier directions to the T. no problem. It went quick and easy.

Pretty easy job, removed the two screws that held the lint catcher at the top of the dryer. I then used a butter knife to pop the two front corners on the dryer. Basically slid the butter knife in the front of the dryer and then slid it towards a corner until it would not move anymore and gave it a slight twist to pop it out., rinse and ... Make sure to get a block to hold up the dryer tub about 6-8 high(I used a batter pack)

From there used a socket set to remove the two top screws from the front of the dryer and then gently lift front panel up and back to remove.

Place block to hold up the dryer tub, if you have a broken belt you should find it at the bottom. remove old belt do not be afraid if you find the pulley lying on the floor. Clean out the bottom of the dryer, install the new belt and use the digrams provided by this website to correctly install the pulley and then put everything back together.

Couldn't have been easier! New belt came with complete instructions for the DIY repair. I actually did the repair myself while my husband worked elsewhere in the house. Opened top and front of dryer with a screwdriver, removed drum, replaced belt, then put it back together! Very simple and easy repair... saved me the repairman cost.

Remove the lint screen from the top of the dryer, then remove the two philips head screws holding the lint screen channel on the dryer top. Use a large flat screwdriver to to pry up the from edge of the top of the dryer... this releases two clips just inside the top to edges of the dryer top from the dryer front. Use a nut driver to remove the top screws on the left and right just inside the top of the dryer. With these two screws out, lift up on the from of the dryer and remove it, setting it aside. Support the from of the drum from falling forward. The broken belt is then removed. Install the new belt using the instructions that come with it, paying close attention to the belt tensioner orientation.

The dryer belt had squealed almost since the dryer was new. It finally broke so I had to replace it.
It actually is a very simple process to replace the belt once you know that you have to take the two lint trap screws out to get the top to pop up. Instead of having a tension pulley like most dryers, this dryer had a teflon pad for the back ot the belt to ride on which created undue friction and wore the belt out very quickly.

I ordered a universal pulley tensioner to replace the Mickey Mouse pad set up and reassembled the dryer. It now runs better than it ever did before. If you have to replace a belt and see that your dryer has a teflon tensioner pad versus the tensioner pulley then I would strongly recommend replacing the pad with the pulley.

My wife says the dryer operates much better now and dries the clothes in half the time as before.

Remove the 2 screws under the filter door and pop the top open. It is just held by spring clips and swings toward the rear. Step 1 - Open the top
Step 2 - remove the front of the dryer(remember to disconnect the switch before you take off the panel.
Step 3 - Put flashlight under drum on the left to "light-up" the area
step 4 feel around the back right and find the Motor shaft and the pulley, make sure they are in tact.

step 6-slightly lift the front of the drum off the front rest and slide the belt over the drum
step 7 rest the drum back down and slide the belt into position
step 8 put the belt around the motor shaft and pulley as per the diagram with the dryer and the belt

step 8 replace front panel
step 9 - close top
step 10 dry clothes

Followed directions from this website, refreshed with papers included in the packet received, 15 minutes later dryer was working again to it capacity and has been for 1 week now. Beats paying $100 sevice fee to replace $10 part.
