Followed owners manual instructions to the letter: removed two top screws, opened the unit door so I could slide out the old filter. I turned the breaker to the appliance off in the breaker box. Took a mirror and a flashlight to figure out what type of tools I needed. Turned out all that was needed was a phillips screw driver and a pair of vicegrips as the front mounting screws were in pretty tight. Connected the wires to the new element, pushed it back into place and refastened the front mounting plate. Turned the power back on to the oven at the breaker box and turned the oven on the check the element and it worked.

Originally called it "grease filter" until I found very small print "air filter" on damaged original. Part #PS3527528

Slipped into place with ease -- right bottom of microwave

Used fingers to pull damaged cover away from microwave interior body. Used fingers to snap replacement cover into open slots.

Cover snap right into special slots.

Both were easy to replace. I followed the instructions in the users manual which came with the microwave. On the grease filter, I removed the 2 Phillips head screws which hold the grill plate in place. I had to open the microwave all the way to remove the grill plate. Dishwasher door won’t stay closed. Upon inspection, the metal striker/catch at the top of the door was broken. This dishwasher is 12 years old and this is the first problem I’ve had with it. The pull out the dishwasher to gain access to the catch. You’ll have to take a small set of pliers and bend the two tabs back that hold the catch in place. Lift the catch up and forward to remove. Replace and bend the tabs back to hold the new catch securely. Move the dishwasher back in place and secure with the screws previously removed. Put the cover plate back in place and you’re done.

Needed to raise the part to match the ring. I used peanut butter to hold plastic shim while replacing to hold it in place. Built in Oct. 2009.

I looked up my problem on the internet and found a very helpful video. Microwave on video was different brand but the internals and methods were very much the same. I watched a YouTube video with how to take the dryer apart and remove the sensors. I followed the what the instructions were removing the top of the dryer and then the front panel.
