The oven on the 40 year old JennAir range stopped heating. It took more time to locate the model number D120 and conduct part/price search than the time it took to install the correct oven bake element from PartSelect! We read all the comments posted by others. We did not remove oven door. The old element had only 2 screws instead of the ... Read more 3 reported by many. We followed the sequence--Power off at box; unscrew old element; pull out about 3 inches; disconnect wiring; used telescoping mirror to assist; connect wiring to new element; position new element; install 2 new screws; turn on power; turn on oven -- SUCCESS -- heating better than before. My cleaning lady brought her handy husband over Saturday to help me. The only tool we used was a Phillips-head screwdriver. I went online earlier in the week and found a good video put out by Repair Clinic and another one I found on You-tube on how to disassemble the dryer. After watching several times, I knew I could do it. We worke ... Read more d together, I cut my hand on the inside edge of the control panel, but, when I hit a snag, we watched that part of the video again and worked right through. Replaced the Thermistor, NTC first, not a problem. Then the Heater Assembly, not too difficult. I couldn't find where one of the remaining parts went, so, we reassembled the dryer and gave it a try. Worked like a charm. We did remove a lot of lint from inside the cabinet and around the felt liner on either end of the drum. It works like it did when it was brand new. Highly recommend to work with someone, so, you don't get frustrated. I am 65 years old and this was a no brainer for me, although I am somewhat mechanically inclined. Very empowering to accomplish this repair. Just follow the video.

Remove spray arm. Pullout. Micro filter big screen . Tork bolt cover and small pliers to grab check valve flapper.

Wanted to see the instructions before I install it.

To install the repair part took about 5 minutes. It took a couple hours to take apart of put back together. Unfortunately the part I replaced was not the problem. I still have no heat. Pulled out the old one-couldn't find it ANYWHERE that was a comparable match except for partselect. shut off breaker to oven-put in the new one-hard to reach in due to limited space and hard to see due to sticking your head in an oven.used a mirror/flashlight to see behind element to unscrew and screw it back in.Other than space restricti ... Removed door from microwave and then popped the inside widow trim ring off. Removed 4 screws from the window bracket, replaced the latch with a new part and then assembled.

Removed what was left of the original clips. Pressed in the new clips and snapped in the themostat blub

Removed old filter and replaced with new filter. Easy.

Ordered the part. It arrived in about 4 days. Took a screw driver and in just a few minutes, it was working again. BINGO

First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. Then I pulled the element out about 2 inches & disconnected the two wires, Then I removed the ground wire. I then wired in the new element ( this was the only tough part of the process, because I had a very tight space to work in- less than 2 inches.

The hardest part was taking out original light bulb because screws on shield where hard to unscrew after all this years . The old bulb vent out leaving neck in socket. It took narrow electrical pliers to get neck out .The generic appliance bulb did not fit and had aluminum neck ,not recommended for brass sockets in ovens.Putting new ligh ... Initial failure of over range microwave Aug 3rd. Control Panel worked but no heat. Took to local LG authoriaed local repair place. They fixed it quickly and we re-installed it. Worked fine for 2 months then had similar failure again. Agaim took to same authorized repairer. They kept unit for 3 months but finally concluded theu could not ... Read more fix it and suggested we contact LG for a partial refund. When they tested the unit during re-assembly in my presence, there was a blue flash and the fuse blew. Since we had built a custom tile mural back splash around this unit, I brought it home, ordered a number of time delay fuses new capacitor and two new high voltage diodes. However, using my Fluke DMM, I checked the existing capacitor and high voltage diode and they checked OK so I just replaced the time delay fuse. The high voltage transformer leads had 2 possible ways to connect to capacitor and diode. Tried one way, plugged unit in and turned it on, and immediatly blew the fuse. Replaced the fuse and reversed the high voltage transformer connections,amd turned unit pn, and it worked perfectly. Since we had experienced several power failures during the time of the original failure, the repairer concluded that power spikes might be at fault, so I also purchased a TrippLite ISOBAR4ULTRA 3300 Joule surge protector between wall outlet and microwave, and re-installed over range. It has worked perfectly since.

I took the top off, I disattached the front and took the front top of dryer off, taking the front of dryer off, detached the belt and took the drum out, found the wheels took the plastic triangle off and took the wheels off and replaced wheels, then did everything in reverse and no more thumping. just remember to unplug unit before workin ... I turned off the power first. Then I removed the element by taking out the three screws. The oven was quite old so getting the screws out took a little extra effort. Installation of the new element went easier. I was pleased with how soon the part arrived after I ordered it.
