79061130102 Kenmore Range - Instructions

It was simple.............the range-top tilts up so I proped it with a stick of wood, pulled out the old burner and plugged in the new one (when I saw how inexpensive the new element was I orderd two to replace the other 8" because it didn't look long for this world either). The whole operation took less than 10 min. no tools or batteries ... Read more required!!!!!!!!!.........no-mus-no -fus.

first thing was to remove the crushed guide with pliers and a twist it was out. to install the new one islipped one side into the slot and took pliers and applied pressure on the lower glide into the slot; it was done presto. works like new. thanks,
Fred . it was so reasonable i got a spare.

first I emptied the contents of the drawer,then pulled drawer open to it's fullest, then lifted drawer so as to tilt slightly, then removed drawer by continuing to pull straight out. then I removed the glide from its protective packaging and inserted it in the same spot as the broken glide was at one time

I unplugged the dead burner and plugged in the new burner. Very easy. No tools needed.

snap out the old one and snap in the new

Cut the old block off tied new wires to hot wires . That easy!

followed the video provided on line which was very helpful..

Plugged the new one in and it worked.
I did search out Frigidaire parts and there are other types tha may or may not work. Calrod burners are not all that unusual. I went with the real thing.

Put the new bowls under the stove top burners with disposable liners to protect them. They look very clean and shiny now!

Remove heating coils raise stove top unsrew terminal blocks cut wires assemble terminals strip wires twist wires together install wire nuts apply heat shrink lower stove top plug in stove repair complete.Thanks.

Simple: Snip old terminal block off. Strip wires. Connect new Terminal block using twist-on wire caps (provided in kit). Mount to stove top with existing screw. TIP: Make sure you insert the wire lead into the terminal block the right way (not upside down). Otherwise burner element will not insert into terminal block properly.

Unplugged the element and the melted on pot. Plugged in the new element. I thought I might need a whole new cooktop but a new element was very easy to find online.

The drawer under the oven had been aggravating me for some time. It was titled and did not close right. Finally, I took it out to see what the problem was and noticed that the glides were broken. I googled the model no. of the stove (figuring I would have no luck) and to my great relief was directed to this EXCELLENT site. I ordered ... Read more the new drawer glides within minutes and they were literally delivered the next day. Snapped right in, fixed, happy!! It's times like this when I can't figure out how we all lived without the internet!

I unplugged the damaged unit and plugged in the new one.

Pulled old burner out, pushed new one in. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! Heats very quickly, now.
