4609 Refrigerator - Instructions

We just removed the old filter and installed the new one. Very simple. We are very pleased. Also the filter arrived at our home the day after I placed the order!! Even more reason to be very pleased.

Changed the ice and Water filter, works great...

Really easy, simple instructions, and it was on my doorstep 3 days after I ordered. Much simpler than dealing with the appliance store, where I'd have to drive to the store, order the filter, wait 7-10 days, and return to pick it up. Ughh! Internet is the way to go!

Open and remove lower cover on filter holder by opening tabs that hold lower cover and remove lower cover.

Firmly hold back of unit and firmly hold and turn filter in counter clockwise to unlock and remove.

I placed a bowl under the filter to catch drips. I wrapped two rubber grippers around the housing and twisted to the left with all my strength. (I am a weak woman). I removed the used filter and inserted the new one. I used the grippers again to replace housing over the new filter. Voila! All done for 6 months.

Followed easy instructions

Push release button, pull out filter cartridge . Replace with new cartridge.

I pushed the button on the filter holder to release the filter by pushing it out of the holder pulled it out all the way and put the new one in. The whole prosses took five seconds.

Had to hold the new filter element cartridge whilst wrestling the refrigerator into place. Whew!
