3524SRW Magic Chef Range - Instructions

My wife detected the problem Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving. We've had the heating element break before, so we knew right away what the problem was. We ordered the part that night, and even though we weren't able to cook Tom for Thanksgiving, the part shipped on Friday and arrived the next Thursday.

Then, I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. They are on the top of the flange and partially concealed by the convection element that juts out.

I pulled out the heating element, disconnected the electrical leads, and installed the new one.

I attempted to put the screws back in, but they were a little tough to line up. I decided to leave them out, knowing that I will probably be doing this repair again in a couple of years.

Hopefully, next time it won't be the day before Thanksgiving.

My husband removed the screws holding the damaged element and removed it before the new one arrived. When we received the replacement part, it took only about 10 minutes for him to repair the oven, inserting the new element.

Rehooked up wires on new element, Slid the element in place. Replaced the two screws. Done, very easy.

Called repairman, he never called back for a week. Gave up and found your website, ordered the part. You said it would take 3-5 business days. You lied, it was there the next day. Taking old element out starts with shutting off the juice. Remove trays, pans, etc. Unscrew two screws, pull out elements ends, unclip from wires, reverse ... Read more the process with new one. the new elements were super easy to replace. the old ones just pulled out and the new ones easily pushed in. the top one was a little more difficult only because it had brackets that had to be slid of and then slid onto the new one.

Broken part was already removed, so I used the screw from the broken support and installed the new support. Very simple, easy, and painless.

After removing the old broken element, I searched the internet for the part by brand and model number. With very little trouble, I located the correct part, ordered it and waited for the notice of shipment. Followed the instructions exactly as described on the Parts web site video, shut off power, removed old baking element, checked connectors, replaced with new element, turned power back on to the range. Repair took less than 15 minutes.

My husband unscrewed the old element and pulled out the wires and took the old element off and reconnected the new element and screwed it back in in less than five mins. Your video explained how to do it. The service was great. The price was good and it got here fast. I ordered it on Sunday and it was here by Wed.morning.

I was able to get on the website, find the part, and order it. It was delivered the next day. I followed the video and it was as easy as the video demonstrated that it was. As a single mother of two, being able to handle this on my own without the expense of hiring a repair person was a huge thrill! Thank You!

I am a 62 year old woman. All I had to do was unscrew the retaining screws on the back of the oven wall, pull the element out and unplug it. When the new one came, I did it in reverse. It took about five minutes. Ps: I did turn the breaker off first....

first I took the opportunity to clean the oven really well, Turned off the electricity at the breaker box, Took out the screw on each side and pulled out to view the clips they were attached to, they came off easily, I attached the new ones pushed in to place and reattached the 2 screws.
