19385 (1988) Kenmore Dishwasher - Instructions

I removed the rack and then pushed down on the old rollers to remove them from the rack. I then installed the new rollers in the same location.

Turn off the breaker to the dishwasher - there will be water very near the motor and other electrical components. I first scooped and towelled all the water out of the bottom of the dishwasher. The drain valve can be accessed from the bottom front of the dishwasher without pulling the unit out from under the counter. There were 4 screw ... Read more s to remove the 2 bottom metal panels. Next use pliers to loosen and slide back the hose clamp connected to the drain. Have a towel ready and pull the drain hose off the white check valve. The check valve can then be removed by unscrewing it - you may need to use pliers. Put the new one on and everything back together.

Had to clip the part onto the upper rack. It was a little tight at first, then all of a sudden it just snapped in. Voila, as good as new.

Put on new door, making sure the spring was set to flip the detergent door open in order for the detergent to properly do the dishes

A VERY easy repair! I simply pried off the old wheel assemblies with a screw driver and popped on the new ones. I was a little concerned about the new ones fitting correctly as the dishwasher is over 25 years old, but after a week they still work fine. Removed cover and broken spring ,installed new spring and cover.Did it all in less than 10 minutes

popped off the old rollers + tracks; then snapped on the new ones; as my granddaughter would say "easy peasy lemon squeezy". Took hardly any time at all. :-)

took off the old wheels and put on the new.couldn't be easier.

Received new rollers promptly as ordered. Removed the old ones by snapping them off and simply snapped the new ones on. Took less than 5 minutes and job was a complete success. Wife happy and I am safe for now

1. Turn off the electrical switch that powers the dishwasher. 2. Open the door of the dishwasher and find the two phillips head screws that secure the top of the dishwasher to the kitchen counter. 3. Remove (pull off) the black plastic fastener located on the bottom/rear of each side of the dishwasher. 6. Remove the old surround. 7. Lay the new wrap in place and secure with the two plastic fasteners. 8. Push back into place, secure the two screws, check your hoses.

Replacing the cup latch and dispenser cover was pretty easy. First, I removed the inside cover of the door of the dishwasher. Then I carefully removed the plastic covers/slides on the door, removed the broken cup latch and then inserted the new one. It only looks like it slides on/off.

Performed repair as to Video shown in receipt after purchase of spring plus we used a friend who has same dishwasher and has performed the same repair recently, video was easier to follow though. I installed the opener spring in the direction it was needed to open the door then installed the pin. I placed the door in the position it goes and took a pair of pliers and squeezed the pin into the pin slot. the spring has to be forced into a tension position. Unsnapped the old rollers and snapped in the new ones. Worked great and easy. I was very pleased that the parts came so soon as well. Thank You, Ms. Cason
