11020022012 Kenmore Washer - Instructions

Just watched the video. Take from a 63 year old. Who never fixed a washer. Thx a lot for the video it saved me a lot of money being on a fix income. and it was less than $ 10 that was included shipping.

Washer was not agitating. My husband did not have a clue what to look for, but he took it apart and noticed two of the four directional cogs were stripped. Removed Softner dispenser and cap. With a 3/8" socket wrench and extension And 7/16" socket I took out the screw holding the agitator and removed top section of agitator. Turned upside down and removed the rubber grommet that holds the cogs in place. Replaced cogs and reinstalled grommet. Aligned top part of agitator with 2 tabs and put b ... Read more ack in place and secured with 7/16" screw. Replaced cap And dispenser. Good to go. Works perfectly. Very easy repair.

I ordered a lid switch because the washer wouldn't agitate. Most reviews indicated that was the problem. While waiting for the part to arrive, I discovered the transmission to be of fault.I let parts select know that I no longer needed the part. Half inch extension. Removed plastic set piece. Remove agitator cap. Remove ring remove worn cogs. Replaced new cogs Replace lock ring, back together. 10 minutes

Followed video provided by Part Select. Video made it look easier than it was but was very thorough and I was able to accomplish repair in less than an hour! The agitator before repair would bounce up and down when I pressed hard and let go. After repair it was much tighter!! Evidently this is a common problem with this design of Whirlp ... After the wife held the phone to the washer so I could hear the horrendous noise it was making. And I screaming at her "shut it off, shut it off!' I came home and took the agitator apart, and found the directional dogs worn out. Went to the computer and easily ordered new parts, which came very quickly. I took off the agitator with a long ... I had to find a point of reference first since item came apart in wash cycle and internal pieces fell out - thank goodness for YOUTUBE. Another guy was thoughtful enough to do a video on how the assembly came apart / went back together - a huge help for sure. Actual repair was less than a half hour after obtaining new part and seeing vi ... Read more deo. The 12 year old washer works like brand new - saving me close to 1,000 dollar replacement charges.

It was easy, take off the cap, then loosen the nut. Take it apart, change the dog ears, put back together. It was done.

Removed top cap of agitator and pulled out the inner cap. Spread a pair of needle nose pliers and placed them in square holes on each side of nylon fitting. Unscrewed nylon fitting and removed top half of agitator. Replaced directional cogs/dog ears and put agitater back together. Works like new. Easy fix.

Unplug unit. Remove back panel. Disconnect drain hose using pliers to squeeze hose clamp. Tilt washer forward to access drain pump. Remove three screws on the pump. Unplug wire connector. Install new pump. Plug in the wiring connector. Reconnect hose. Reinstall back panel. Super easy fix!

Took the Cover off and installed belt.
