Delta Compressor Drain Valve

Frequently referred to as a Drain Plug, this Drain Valve is used to drain any condensation that has collected inside the tank to prevent the tank from rusting. It is not part of a kit or assembly, is sold individually, made of brass, is gold, and will be found at the bottom of the air tank.
This part will need to be replaced when it is no longer able to provide a proper seal, or if it is visibly worn or damaged. You will need a wrench to complete this repair.

Worn piston rod and sleeve
Disassemble plastic housing around compressor unit using appropriate tools. Remove the four bolts from the compressor head using a 5/16 nut driver. Carefully remove head assembly including airline. Remove bolt through rod bearing with Allen wrench. Reassemble with new rod and piston assembly. Best to use blue locktite on bolt through rod bearing when reassembling. Can't find this special screw used on many housings etc
Actually don't like using Torx bits because they are hard to center deep in the channel. I had misplaced these forcing me to order replacements. My plan is to insert Torx bits before screwing in and using jb weld to secure the bit to the screw, giving me a hex head. Can't find this special screw with a hex head.
