If you notice any signs of leaks, such as dripping fuel or hissing sounds, it may indicate a faulty or worn-out sealing washer. Additionally, you might be experiencing engine performance issues like rough idling or difficulty starting. To replace the sealing washer, ensure that the machine is off and that the engine has cooled down. Remove the air breather cover and the filter itself, following the instructions provided in your user manual to access the carburetor. Depending on your specific equipment model, you may need to detach the springs from the carburetor choke mechanism, disconnect the fuel line and fuel tank, remove the choke lever, and detach the air breather base. Once you have located the carburetor, carefully unthread the main jet from the bottom of the carburetor bowl. Finally, slide off the old sealing washer, ensuring you take note of its positioning for accurate replacement. Please note that this sealing washer is sold individually.

This grommet is an OEM part that is a 45-degree elbow for the crankcase breather tube of your mower engine. That is why it is also known as a 45-degree breather tube.
The part is made of rubber and is black in color. You must purchase this part individually. Your grommet may require replacing if you notice dark smoke coming out of the exhaust. This is a telltale sign that your grommet has become cracked and damaged. Other symptoms are a reduction in the mower performance, or a backfiring engine. According to our customers, this is an easy repair.
It requires no tools. Simply attach the grommet to the breather tube from the crankcase to the carburetor.

Screw can out of the carburator throttle baffel and stuck in the exhaust valve
No compression. Removed the cylinder head. freed the screw, checked the valve to see if it still sealed. Turned the head over with the valves in it, install a spark plug, fill the head dome with gas and see if any leeks out over a 2 hr period. If not you are good to go. Reinstalled every thing with new gaskets and a new carburetor screw. Set the valves to spec. Complete the rebuild and there you have it. Rebuild the carburetor while you have it apart. This motor runs great !!!

This OEM grommet, also called a 90-degree breather tube, is sold individually. Black in color and made of rubber, this is a 90-degree elbow for the crankcase breather tube of your mower engine. If you notice a reduction in the mower engine performance, and engine backfires, this part is likely to be in need of replacing. It can develop cracks due to fatigue, and our troubleshooting tip is to inspect this part if dark smoke is coming out of the exhaust, it is a telltale sign.
This is an easy repair to make, and does not require any tools. The new grommet attaches on the breather tube fromt he crankcase to the carburetor.
