My Kenmore dishwasher works perfectly...except the soap dispenser door won't open while the machine is cycling. i can open it manually. can you tell me from the exploded diagrams if the dispenser uses a wax solenoid, or a hinge pin or if the electric harness is what needs to be replaced to make the dispenser door open during wash cycles?

I can open the dispenser manually but when I used the soap pad it remains in the dispenser which would indicate that the dispenser did not open and if I used liquid soap there is like a plastic mass of cake like substance remains. What could be the cause?. thank you.
Hello Sheldon, Thank you for the question. This sounds like the Wax Motor on the back of the dispenser is defective and not opening the dispenser. In this case the dispenser would need to be replaced, PartSelect Number PS11754645. Hope this helps!

I need to replace the soap dispenser on Maytag model# MDBH949PAB4. Do you need to replace the mounting bracket as well?

The dishwasher started leaking by the lower right corner of the door. I see that it only leaks when dispensing the soap as the water has soap on it. When rinsing, i do not see the same leakage. Can you help me find the possible problem? I am planning to change the door gasket just to see if it helps. I order one from you. Thank you so much.
Hello Virna, thank you for your question. It sounds like the bottom door seal needs to be replaced. When the soap is dispensed and runs down the door you're getting that leak. We would recommend replacing the door seal Part Number: PS11755651 to see if that fixes the issue. I hope this helps!

What part do i need if soap dispenser will not close?

The actual dispenser is not closing tight and the soap is going everywhere. Is it called the dipenser mounting bracket?

The dispenser is leaking rinse aid along the back seam. Would I need just a mounting bracket or a whole new dispenser?

Dispensers door broke
