I pulled out the old drawer and installed the new one.
Then dumped thrice from the old drawer into the new one.
Then dumped thrice from the old drawer into the new one.

Ice built up around evaporator fan blades and blades chipped and broke. Refrigerator was making loud vibrating noises.

Removed ice bucket, and unplugged ice maker. Removed light cover. Removed ice maker. Pulled fan blades straight up and removed. Pushed new blades on to motor shaft. Fairly easy .

I called out a repairman who used a laptop to troubleshoot. He charged me $119 just to come out. He told me that the control board wasn't telling the evaporator to periodically defrost and I noticed that it was encased in ice. Then, he gave me an estimate of $400 to replace the board. labor, about 30 minutes, and another $200 for the board, however, he didn't have a replacement board in stock. Knowing that I could replace the board myself, I was happy to order the board from PartSelect and save on the $200 labor charge.

l the old parts, waiting for the new ones to come. Guess what! The refrigerator was quiet as a mouse. I really did not need the new parts, but I kept them anyway just for good luck. Not bad for a refrigerator that's twenty four years old.

replace seal on crisper drawer

spent 10 minutes trying to clip in the seal without any success. I emptied the crisper drawer and removed it flipped it over clipped the seal. replaced the drawer. Secret is to remove the drawer from the refrigerator.
