I snapped one of the end caps in, put the rack rail into the cap, placed the other cap on the other end, and snapped that end in. Because I received the exact parts needed, the entire repair took about one minute.

We took the door off and replaced the pastic washer. Found out that the repair people never informed us that the door itself has a bit damaged so this repair would have to be done over and over. Nice way for them to make money off us.
We were able to fix it so that it will last a LONG time. Sometimes it realy can pay to do-it-yours elf!

Broken upper shelf and broken upper drawer
2 of 4 people found this instruction helpful.
  • Neil from Columbus, OH
  • Really Easy
  • Less than 15 mins
For the shelf you have to save the front and back gaurds to put on the new shelf when it arrives. You have to slide the shelf in through the slots and then add the back gaurd. The front guard just pops on after that. The drawer front of the old drawer just slides off and then back on the new drawer, The drawer just slides in after tha t. No tools needed. Super easy ... super beautiful. Love it!

raised the sides of the drawer front up, then pulled the front straight up. Then put the front in the slots of the new drawer and pushed down. I gave it a light tap on the top corner and it locked into place. I put my food stuffs back in the drawers and slid them back into the refrigerator. Job done in about eight min, for two drawers.

Fridge quit working.
1 person found this instruction helpful.
  • Bill from Bay City, MI
  • Easy
  • 15 - 30 mins
  • Nutdriver, Screw drivers, Wrench set
A little research told me the hum plus no cooling was either the compressor or the relay. I ordered the new relay and put it in but it didn't fix the problem. I ended up having to buy a new fridge, but it was worth the $30 gamble to see if I could fix it on the cheap and it saved me the money a service call would've cost. Pretty easy i nstallation, just in a tight space on my model.

Traced issue to defrost timer ( burned compressor & element contacts). This unit is mounted next to the temperature adjustment control in the refridgerator area - right in front. Removal of plastic cover provided easy access to the timer. Unit unscrews from the mounting then unplugs. Installation is reverse of removal.

I simply removed 4 screws holding the casing and then 2 more holding the timer. It was very easy. I then replaced the timer by unplugging and plugged the new one in. I replaced all the screws and the job was done. Less than 30 minutes. I was very impressed with the shipping time. When I ordered the part, I had it the next day.
