WDT730PAHB0 Whirlpool Dishwasher - Instructions

I followed the installation instructions included with the kit, they are not the clearest or the most detailed but they allowed me to finish the job in under 15 minutes. Only one side was broken but I replaced both sides in the time. Not a big job and very easy for a DIYer with average mechanical ability.

The install video was invaluable, and made installation a breeze. Unfortunately it did not include instructions to remove the original adjuster — which was of a slightly different design as the replacement. I eventually got the old part off using a screw driver to pry the plastic snap connections apart.

I watched the instructional videos that showed how to replace the inlet fill hose/water inlet a couple of times. The repair was exactly as shown. No trouble at all.

Super simple.
Remove all screws around the stainless metal shroud inside the door. DONT remove the hinge screws.
Torx bit required.

Unplug detergent dispenser and place outer door assembly aside. Dispenser has small clips holding it in, top, bottom and sides I believe. Push these in, dispenser falls out into dishwashe ... Read more r.

Insert new unit, reverse all steps. Done.
Dont for get to reattach the wires!

Removed old gasket. Cleaned the area and let dry. Aligned gasket, pressed into the groove. Corners are tricky, stretch and press to get a tight seal. Follow around appliance. Inital try, small leak. Adjusted seal second use no leak. 10/10 would recommend this part. Super easy self install.

I did this repair after watching the video on PartSelect's website. It went exactly as it was shown on the video. The video did not show removal of the old components. None of the old adjuster parts need to be saved for re-use so if they break upon dis-assembly it does not matter. This project went about as well as a project could. I cert ... removed screws holding dishwasher to counter top,raised leveling pads,pulled dishwasher out, unplugged wiring,removed hold down nuts from inside dishwasher and installed new heater element, this was all easy the hard part was finding the code to reset the dishwasher there was no paperwork inside the dishwasher although there was an empty ... Read more plastic holder.The code that worked for my model was with the door open to push the normal wash button then the high temp button three times as fast as you can within four seconds then close the door. It worked and reset the dishwasher which ran a short cycle then shut down as normal and is now working fine.After doing this select the beverage of your choice and relax. Hope this helps someone.

Read more ead you on with the little parts and you work your way up with the big ones expense wise at this point I will simply cut my losses and buy a new dishwasher because I'm almost at what it would cost for a new one and I've had this one for 4 years. When I went to look for what the problem was each one of these said not cleaning properly which I think now is a generic term to just go from the smallest to the largest if I'm going to replace the motor for 300 plus dollars I might as well just buy a new washer

Listened to the video from Parts Select which was on the part number where it was ordered from. It was a very well done video.

Ordered the "right" part according to the diagram. The part I received was about 1/4" too long so I couldn't use the whole manifold. Took the rubber end off and - fortunately- it fit the old manifold. Dishwasher works fine now. Wish I could have ordered just the rubber valves.

Was able to replace and repair without taking the dishwasher out. Thermostat is behind and to the left of the power junction box. Has 2 wires going to it. It is up against the bottom of tub. Shut off breaker. Took off front skirt of dishwasher .

Use pliers to pinch hose clamp and push hose onto pump release hose clamp. Turn breaker on. Run a cycle and make sure all is tight before putting skirt on front.
