the dishwasher is filling, emptying and dumping the soap but the Wash Cycle is not circulating water. How do I determine if the wash pump is bad?
For model number WDT730PAHB0
PartSelect logo
Hi Thomas, thank you for reaching out. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest you check the continuity of the circulation pump. To test the continuity of the circulation pump, set the multimeter on the lowest resistance. Attach one probe to one terminal and the other probe to the remaining terminal. If you get a reading between 10 to 100 ohms, it is working fine. If not, you need to replace the circulation pump motor, part number PS12070585. We hope this solves your problem!

We went to use it but it won't start even though there is electricity/power going to it. What do we need to check/replace? Thanks

Instruction from Whirlpool Not Good (No problem with Part Select)
Trial and error. The instructions from Whirlpool included with the part had minuscule pictures so it was hard to follow. The written instructions were good. But "a picture is worth a thousand words." Eventually it worked. The metal replacement part is much better the the plastic original. Not a good reflection on Whirlpool.
