s head screws and pulled out the big paddle switch. This then exposes the flapper. Replaced flapper with new one and reassembled everything. When I had everything apart, I cleaned with window cleaner. It was pretty moldy from the water leaking. Turned power back on and tested everything to make sure I didn't mess anything up. Works great

Followed the instructions in the video, which showed our exact refrigerator. Very easy instruction, for a simple job. However, it did not fix the problem. At this point I suspect a faulty replacement part (which cannot now return), or some other issue requiring further analysis. Could also be that the original Inlet Water Valve is not at

Ice maker discharge was slow and jammed with ice and frost. The cause was a distorted flapper that did not seal properly, admitting warm air into the dispenser chamber.

Excellent video was available on the Parts Select website. It was simple. The selector panel pulled out by hand from the bottom. The subpanel was removed with the four screws. The flapper snapped out of the holder with two clips. The new one was inserted in reverse order.

The valve was leaking from the core and not the in/out tubes. The valve is easy to get to and very easy to replace. When replacing the water in/outs you cut them off the old valve and then slip them on the new valve. 5 to 10 minute job.

I then removed the screw holding the valve in place and removed it from the freezer. I removed the two wires from the valve and placed them on the new valve (after inserti

ng the clip inserts to match the new size tabs).I pulled the two plastic water lines out of the valve and inserted them into the new valve. I put the new valve in place and replaced the screw. Total time less than 15 minutes. Much easier to fix, than to identify the problem. The collective wisdom of the internet strikes again! Thanks to all.
