SCE4320W Jenn-Air Range - Instructions

The repair was straight forward. Remove about a million screws and several layers. The only challenge was loosening some baked on screws in the innermost layer. Repair would have been less than an hour if not for those screws. Key advice is to pay attention to the order that each layer went back on. My oven/stove is about 25 years old, ... Read more but works great. The part was backordered at a local appliance part store from May to ???. I ordered it at PartSelect and it was also backordered for a couple of months. I got it delivered to my home from PartSelect before it ever came in from the local store.

The basic replacement of the bad seal went fairly well. Just had to follow the other guidance and pay close attention to the correct sequence so that the door goes back together as it should be. The only real difficult part was when attempting to hold the hinge downward so that the door could be properly placed back on the hinges. Af ... Read more ter closer examination I discovered that there were two holes in each of the hinges that when they were opened all the way that the holes lined up and I cut off two nails approx 2 inches long and then once I was able to pry the two hinges all the way opened and then I used them to slip in through the two holes and they worked just fine and they held the door open, until the door could be re-installed. Once installed the nail/pins could be easily removed with some needle nose pliers.

take the old ones out and slide the new ones in ordered around 2 in the afternoon and they were delivered to my front door around the same time the next day very pleased with service and the racks. I just wish I could get parts for my Jenn-Air cooktop which is 20 years old maybe somewhere someday.

undid the 2 screws inside the oven holding the element in place. slowly pulled the element out to get to the wire on the end. unplugged the old element and pluged the new element in and slowly slid wires and element into back of oven. secured with the 2 screws and turned on to check operation.

Placed new knob directly on post. No problem

I went to the source of power on the stove and noticed one of the terminals had come loose from the terminal block and had shorted out against the cover of the terminal junction. Just followed the instructions on this site... :) Unscrewed the front, removed old unit taking care of which wires went where, put in new unit. Voila.

In response to your question.......everything went perfectly!! The reason?? I read the directions that were very easy to follow. It was a quick, easy repair, and the stove burner is working like new.

Removed 4 screws, tilted cover up and lifted out, removed wires from switch, removed 2 screws holding switch, lifted switch out. Replaced with new switch, connected wires, secured cover with the 4 screws. It worked!

First turn off breaker, then take screws out switch assembly,take oid switch out, put new switch on,turn power on.

Shut off breaker, removed the top by unscrewing the retaining screws and removing all knobs and grommets. Removed control from top panel by unscrewing, removed 5 wires and placed on new control. I then remounted the control, placed the top in its well, fastened. Replaced the retaining screws in the hold down strip and replaced grommets ... Read more and knobs. Returned power to panel by turning the breaker on and tested. Used later that evening to grill 2 panini.

Received the part the day after ordering. Appreciated the quick service and repair took less than a minute.

The video you provided was excellent! Turned the circuit breaker off. Removed four screws, pulled out control panel, took a picture of the wiring to be safe. Disconnected the wires from the damaged control and removed it (two screws removed). Mounted the new control, connected the wiring, replaced the control panel and the four screws. Ci ... removed front of range door. removed old seal and replaced with new seal. clean and reassemble range door. repair very simple and fast.
