S200 - Instructions

The picture of how to depress the clips to remove the front was incorrect. The clips are 4" from the sides not immediately at the sides per the picture. After putting on the 4 rubber springs, it ran, but probably needed a new clutch also, because it wouldn't spin dry anymore. I ended up spending $2000 for new washer and dryer from Maytag, and throwing out these old machines today.

I paid over $100 several years ago to have this same repair done by an appliance repairman. I did it myself this time for less than $20. Definitely watch the installation video before you start. Pull up on old coupling and remove it. Clean grooves on transmission shaft and then install new coupling over the shaft. Reinstall old bolt and the agitator following video instructions on lining up agitator on the coupling. Note: Standard Fedex Smartpost shipping took 6 days to go from Louisville, Kentucky to western North Carolina. If you're in a hurry it's worth it to pay for expedited shipping. Lots of dirty laundry piles up in a week!

Read more replaced it due to it being new, (make sure the coupling is fully seated before installing the bolt) reinstalled the agitator plugged the washer back in and tested repair worked flawlessly thanks partselect

remove top control panel & r&r water level/pressure switch.

Pulled the agitator off by hand. Loosened the screw on top of the coupling and pulled old coupling off by hand. Replaced part with new coupling and socketed it in place. Replaced agitator by-hand by simply pushing it down on top of coupling making sure the plastic teeth aligned.

Watched a how to video. Pulled the agitator. Determined that the agitator coupling was worn out. Matched the old agitator coupling to new replacement one. Ordered it. Pushed the new agitator coupling onto the fitting. Secured it with the old bolt. Replaced the agitator. Repaired.

Turn the washer around and take off top back plate behind the controls. Fold controls forward out of the way. Disconnect electrical connection on triple valve by lifting holding clip slightly and pulling out plug. Remove clamp from hose at valve and pull off hose. Remove two screws and replace valve. Install new valve in reverse order.

I pulled up on the agitator with a quick upward jerk to remove the agitator, then I used a 7/16 socket to take the bolt out of the coupling, pulled up on the coupling and removed it. Took the new coupling sit it on top of the shaft, I turned the coupling slowly to line the grooves of the shaft to the grooves on the coupling, then I pushed ... Read more the coupling down onto the shaft, put new bolt in the coupling and tightened it down, then I lined the agitator grooves up with the grooves on the coupling then pushed agitator down until it snapped in place on the coupling.

Ordered new pump on Sunday - replaced on Wednesday. Removed front washer panel with putty knife to release latches. Used pliers to disconnect hose clamps. Lots of paper towels to sop up water in bottom of washer and on floor. Unhooked electrical wires. Socket to remove pump. Reverse actions to replace pump. It's "plug and play"!

Watched the video. Followed the instructions. This has to be one of the best sites I have ever encountered. Even a caveman could fix the problem after watching the video.

Could have removed debis in old pump. Kept it as a spare.
Replacement was simple , (two nuts) & (2 Lg. Hose Clamps) + two wires.
Dealer wanted $168.00 Labor + $67.00 for part!.

I ordered a selector knob and it was delivered in a short amount of time. I wasn't sure if it was the right one when I ordered it, but my husband just put it right on the dryer. He said it was perfect. Thank you PartSelect!

First removed tub comming from Tub and removed srcew to replace. Has to twist part out of slot to remove installed in reversed order. Really easy to do.

I had already removed the old coupling by removing pulling the agitator straight up off the coupling, then I removed the bolt that held the coupling in, and pulled the coupling up off the shaft.

Good job.

Surprisingly easy. I took the screws off, then pulled off the drain hose. I then inserted the new hose, and put back the screws. Amazing quick!
