RB7344J2 Hotpoint Range - Instructions

I removed the 2 screws and the 2 wires from the broken heating element. I removed the broken oven heating element. Then I attached the 2 wires to the new heating element and put the 2 screws in to attach the new heating element into the oven. The new oven heating element worked just fine and I was done.

Just like your example said/turn the power off to the oven/remove the screws that hold the element in place and then I pulled th element out a little ways and disconnected the wires/reconnecting took a little longer only because it was hard to see/but I connected the two wires and put the screws back in and it worked. remove screws attaching burner plate to back of oven, pull out element, undo wiring to old burner by unscrewing 2 screws, remove old burner, reverse process to put new burner in

TURN OFF CIRCUIT BREAKER before doing anything even if oven is not turned on! If I hadn't checked voltage with tester before starting I would have made a shocking discovery.

First I turned the Breaker off for the Oven. I removed the two screws that hold the element/cover plate. I pulled the element out to get access to wires attached to element & removed screws holding wires to element. I reversed the process to put back together.

The repair was fairly easy. Removed the 2 screws that hold the plate to the oven and then pulled out the element and loosen up the screws that connect it. 1. Removed the old element. Had a little trouble loosening the screws. After we got them loose, everything was easy.
2. Pulled out the element and disconnected the wires.
3. Connected the wires on the new element.
4. Screwed the element back in.
5. Connected the stove and turned on the oven.

Firs I shut the power off to the range. Then I removed the bottom oven rack, then removed the two screws holding the element in place. Read more e range away from the wall and remove the back cover panel.I then fed the new element into the wholes from the inside of the range and having the back panel removed gave me full access for reconnecting the element wires. I put the back cover panel into place , put the bottom oven rack in and that was it. I was done with the repair. I turned the power back on and everything worked fine. I would recommend removing the back cover panel prior to trying to remove the element. This will save you some time and give you full access to the wiring before attempting to remove the bake element.

The element was 25 years old and I was concerned about changing it. But is was so easy. I turned off power and removed 2 screws and then unscrewed the wiring from the old element. I had the new one installed in minutes. I was so glad to have my oven working again. Who needs a man.

Unplugged stove, removed front door, carefully removed two screws holding the cover plate of the element. Gently pulled the element out about 3-4 inches removed the two screw attaching the electrical wires to the element , making sure the wires did not pull back into the stove. Carefully pushed the wires and element back into place making sure the insulation was also in place. Re-attached the cover plate with the two screws I had removed. I first removed the two hex head screws, pulled the element slowly forward about four to five inches and disconected the two wires on the old element.
I removed the old element and attached the wires to the new element. I then slowly pushed it back into the rear wall of the oven, carefull not to disturb the insulation around the ... Had to take back panel off of the inside of the oven to get to the screws to remove the old element and attache the new. Removed the two screws to remove the old, pulled it out unattached the wires and attached the new one.

removed 2 nuts holding the element in the oven. removed 2 screws that secured the wires to the element. installed the new element in reverse.

Turned off power. Removed oven racks. Removed the 2 screws that held the element in place. Pulled element out about 3 in. & disconnected 3 wires.
