Use nut driver to take off shield. Pull out element to expose element and wire connections. Use nut driver to take off the 2 little screws. Remember what side is positive(red wire) and what side is negative(black wire). Put shield over the 2 wire and reconnect to element. Will need a standard screwdriver for the new screws. This is a forty five year old oven. It was only four screws and it was done. The new part works like a champ! This save me from buying a $800.00 replacement. I removed the two 1/4 screws holding the element to the back of the oven and then took the flat head screws loose from the terminals on the old element. I then put everything back as ... Took the broken heating element out of oven. Replaced with new one; which was easy to do.

Turned on oven. It started heating immediately

First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. Installed the new element reversing the process above

Simple replacement on an old "built in" range in good condition but drip pans and trim rings soiled beyond cleaning. Stove top, although 20+ years old, now looks like new. So glad to find parts were still available as "universal" replacement parts for the 8 inch burner do not fit. Delivered to my door in days.

It was quite simple after the part arrived. I actually had forgotten what the connection was because one wire was yellow and one was red. After calling the number that I had to no avail. I went to the computer to ask how to install the part. Installed in little to no time. Feel like a Jill of all trades. Bring on the next problem.

Pulled out the old burner that was held in by a metal spring clamp. Pushed the new one in.

Good as new.

We just remove the old surface unit and insert the new one by hand. Thanks to PartSelect, we were able to buy really good quality part that works right away!
