Did an online search for repairs and found PartSelect. Simple to order the part and had it installed myself less than a week later. Thank you!!

Watched a you tube video prior to installing new switch. Followed the video which gave me confidence i was up to the task. After removing the touch pad I found my design was not exactly like the you tube model but I found the defective switch, replaced it and put the microwave back together. Works great. Again watch the videos

Remove from cabinetry, take cover off and had a very difficult time removing the plastic form that has the switched in. Replace the lowest of all the switches, and then again very difficult time getting the plastic form back in. Some of the plastic even broke during the process but not any that could prevent it from working as it did be ... Read more fore. I had ordered a fuse, 2 packs of 2 switches as there are 3 switches but only had to use 1 to get it working again. Tested after switch install, put the cover back on and reinstalled in the cabinet.

Problem was due to a faulty door switch. Replaced with a new switch and the microwave now works fine! Only thing that was tricky was that LG uses the hex screws with a peg in the middle to keep the microwave cover on. Had to use a small screwdriver and pliers (on the screwdriver) to unscrew the screws.

After reading oven manual , used screwdriver to remove appropriate screws from behind vent. Slid vent out then cleaned vent with dish liquid. Removed old filter by simply sliding it out from easily accessed position. Inserted new filter. Replaced vent with screws. Unscrewed glass panel, removed old bulb, cleaned glass panel and installed new bulb. Screwed panel back into place.

Removed one screw lowered glass cover removed burned out bulb replaced with new one put glass back reinstalled screw. Dune 5 minutes back in business

Initial failure of over range microwave Aug 3rd. Control Panel worked but no heat. Took to local LG authoriaed local repair place. They fixed it quickly and we re-installed it. Worked fine for 2 months then had similar failure again. Agaim took to same authorized repairer. They kept unit for 3 months but finally concluded theu could not ... Read more fix it and suggested we contact LG for a partial refund. When they tested the unit during re-assembly in my presence, there was a blue flash and the fuse blew. Since we had built a custom tile mural back splash around this unit, I brought it home, ordered a number of time delay fuses new capacitor and two new high voltage diodes. However, using my Fluke DMM, I checked the existing capacitor and high voltage diode and they checked OK so I just replaced the time delay fuse. The high voltage transformer leads had 2 possible ways to connect to capacitor and diode. Tried one way, plugged unit in and turned it on, and immediatly blew the fuse. Replaced the fuse and reversed the high voltage transformer connections,amd turned unit pn, and it worked perfectly. Since we had experienced several power failures during the time of the original failure, the repairer concluded that power spikes might be at fault, so I also purchased a TrippLite ISOBAR4ULTRA 3300 Joule surge protector between wall outlet and microwave, and re-installed over range. It has worked perfectly since.

The problem I have with changing the bulb is my microwave is an overhead one and therefore I cannot tip it on its side to easily replace the bulb. I have to drop the lid down and carefully install the new bulb from underneath.

All the electrics worked on Amana microwave EXCEPT for the cooking function. Inspected the control board and found the upper switch on the door interlock was burnt. It literally took me longer to unpackage the fuse than to install it. I removed the outer shell by unscrewing the five screws, lifted it off and set it aside. The old fuse was readily visible so I pulled it out and put the new one in its place. I set the shell back on and replaced the screws. I plugged it in and ran it for 30 seconds ... Read more while still in the shop just to make sure that solved the problem and presto - it worked like a charm. A $20 part saved me from having to purchase a new microwave (sadly, I had to break the news to the wife).

Just took the plate out the packaging & rinsed,dried and put in the oven. I was so happy I found it @partselect online& it came in the next day or two. Will definitely use them again. It was a fraction of the cost from local parts store.
