MEC4430ACW14 Maytag Cooktop - Instructions

Took out the old drip bowls and replaced with new bowls.

I removed the element and then the drain pan and replaced with the new correct pans. I replaced the element and all was well.

Turn off breaker in electric panel fore stove. Put screw driver into slots in front of glass top surface. Pry top up carefully until top pops up.Remove burner dial, remove two philips head screws holding switch. Remove prop and carefully press top down until it snappes into place.Replace dial, turn breaker back on and try burner.

Once the part arrived, there was no problem replacing the burner. This is a simple operation we've performed many times when we need to remove the burner for cleaning.

Shut off power at breaker box , pull stove away from wall , remove Phillips screws from back of range pull knob off of switch . Look to see how switch is oriented remove 2 screws that hold switch in . Remove one set of wires at a time and place on new switch in same location . Put back together in reverse order .

Plugged in the new burner, which we received in one day.We were delighted with the quick service

Simply removed the old heating element and plug the new element terminals into socket.

After I removed the piece of metal separating the two wires, I inserted the unit with no problem.

Pull out the range...hardest part.
Remove back panel.
Remove/install switch

This is second switch I had to replace. Try making them in the United States.

This range was easy. Only 4 screws under the front panel that allows the panel to come off. No need to pull the range out for back screws.

Replacement part was exact and worked perfect.

Turn off the circuit breaker for the range.

Remove the 4 screws under the front panel, one on each end and one one each ... Read more side of the display/control panel.

Pull the bottom of the front panel out about 30 degrees and lift off the top.

Once panel is off pull of the dial knob, remove the two screws for the control and swap wires on at a time with the new one.. Reverse the procedure and all is good. You may need to use needle nosed pliers on the spade connectors if they are too tight to pull off by hand.

unplugged power took the back panel off unplugged the 5 wires removed knob by grabbing and pulling off took two screws out of front panel removed the switched put new switch in place and reversed the procedure went very smooth know problem at all any one with any kind of ability should change this switch in know time at all

Removed the cooktop using screwdriver. Pushed lens-light into cooktop hole.It was difficult to do and was where I spent most of my time. Next time I will spray bottom of lens- light with silicon so it goes in easier. I stood cooktop up on its side and inserted the red light assembly onto the lens-light. Reinstalled cooktop < ... removed several screws, removed old controller, installed new controller buttoned back up works perfect

removed 4 screws lifted off the face with switches replaced the bad switch and put the face plate back on. if you have any concerns just watch the video , part select has posted its great
