KSB3 KitchenAid Blender - Instructions

I watched the video on the website and I realized I could repair a $100.00 blender myself, for under $20.00! So, so easy and the part came in two days. Great company, Thanks!

To start with the coupling, I followed the directions by using a flat screwdriver and a thick towel. I placed the towel under the screwdriver to protect the base unit from damage as I pivoted 1/2 of the tip under the coupling, pulling it up as I went around until the coupling popped off. Then I cleaned the remainder of any metal left behi ... Read more nd. Then I attempted to screw the coupling on clockwise but the screw opening was slightly to small. So I plugged in the unit and held the coupling with the screwdriver in place and turn the unit on stir and it screwed it on clockwise.
Next, the seal was replaced at the bottom of the jar. And I was finished. Easy as pie.

The replacement part arrived so swiftly I didn't know what it was until I opened the packet.

The motor drive shaft has two flanges on it that can accept a narrow wrench and the drive wheel can be screwed off clockwise!

Of course if the drive wheel was made of a more durable material this would not have been a problem unfortunately typically american not made to last!

Pry off the old, clean up drive threads, thread on the new one. easy as pie

Watched the video on the site on how to remove the old one and install the new one and it took me all of 5 minutes, at most. I almost threw it away. Super cheap repair. The product arrived in 2 days too. I am saving the site. They are great.

simple clear instructions to follow

easier than i anticipated. i thought i would have to tear the unit down to get this part installed, but the replacement came with (even an idiot can do it)instructions, and it took all of four minutes. Mike in Albemarle,NC..

Pretty muched followed the directions, but after reading all the reviews I knew what do to before the part arrived. Super easy. My blender had been out of commission for a while...now I'm back in business. Well worth the $14 (part and shipping).

I felt confident enough to try repairing my blender myself ! ! !
I just placed a flat head screw driver under the coupler and pushed up on the screw driver, 3 or 4 more times around the coupler. It broke away and a metal disc was left, which I unscrewed and I just screwed the new ... Read more coupler on.

Followed the directions and used a screwdriver to pry off the old gear. Screwed the new one on - reverse thread. Easy as that.

used thin wire strippers to hold screw shat, than unscrewed one and screwed on the other. done

Popped off the old one and popped on the new one. It took no more then 30 seconds and the blender is like new again.

Piece of cake. Part was expensive and shipping likewise. Very fast

i used the screwdriver method prying up on side to side old one comes off new one goes on pretty cool also it was a nice long flat head with pretty big head

Just like the directions said, I pryed up on the coupling at a few points around it's circumference and it became loose enough to unscrew. I didn't believe it was going to work at first but, amazingly, it did. All that was left to do was screw on the new part. No problem!
