Looked up symptoms on parts select website. Ordered mag and diode. Very easy to take micro off the wall. Easily removed screws holding the skin on. Found diode. Really didn't need to replace it but since I had a new one (fairly cheap), just did so. Diode only installs one way. Can't botch it HOWEVER, MAKE SURE THE ONLY PART OF THE D

IODE TO TOUCH THE GROUNDING POLE IS THE SCREW DOWN LEAD. IF THE OPPOSITE END LEAD, THAT WHICH IS THE PUSH ON TERMINAL, TOUCHES THE GROUNDING POLE, YOU'LL GET ARCHY SPARKY. The magnetron goes in very easy. Simply pay attention to how you removed it and reverse that process installing the new one. There are easy to use YouTube videos that show magnetron replacement. You can do this easily and save your microwave and $$ while doing so.

I first unplugged the microwave. I then unscrewed the 2 screws from the top grill. I had to be careful because the grill was cracked close to each screw. It was a little tricky to remove the grill. Had to tilt it down as I removed it, and make sure the microwave door was opened as wide as possible. Filters were placed as the old ones, wi

th the metal part up I believe. A little tricky to get one of the filters to fit. Grill was replaced with care so as not to further Crack it. Kind of maneuvered grill back in place, getting right side in place first. I noticed there were several tabs on the grill that needed to be placed inside of the microwave body while reinstalling the grill. Once the grill was in place, the 2 screws were put in to hold the grill in place.

Piece of cake. One screw to release the dropdown light diffuser. Just remember, the you're screwing the new bulb in from a reverse perspective. Also this site sends the correct part the first time.
