Open the existing cover and carefully with the thumb and index fingers, pry the cover at over the left pin and remove the cover. Place the replacement onto the right pin and pry the left placing it over the left and you are done.

The repair went well. Before I ordered this ice tray assemble, I replaced the water inlet valve thinking that was the problem. The new ice tray came with 2 new wiring harnesses. Read more the inlet valve sent too much water into the ice tray. After seeing the ice tray leaking, I removed it again to see why. The only thing I could come up with was too much water was being put into the ice tray. I had the old inlet valve and reinstalled it and the ice maker has worked flawlessly ever since. There was nothing wrong with the old inlet valve only the ice tray assembly.
So all good and doing a great job once again.

No product was sent in the box for the shaft I received an empty box from them cannot perform any repairs because I got no product from this company. Called customer service said due to Covid no customer service available when online and receive no customer service no refund no product no help

unscrewed old filter, screwed in new....good to go!

Pulled the unit out after reminding myself how to do so on the internet.

Replaced bad assembly with new. Not for the average person, some basic mechanical know-how needed.

I followed the video provided by Part Select. I also let the refrigerator stay unplugged overnight with all the doors open. This p-trap kit has fixed the leaks out of the front of the refrigerator. There is no ice build-up in the freezer. Perfect!

Disconnect plug from wall. Insert putty knife between light switch.and trim panel , apply pressure to depress plastic spring holding switch in place. Really easy, simple instructions, and it was on my doorstep 3 days after I ordered. Much simpler than dealing with the appliance store, where I'd have to drive to the store, order the filter, wait 7-10 days, and return to pick it up. Ughh! Internet is the way to go!

Couldn't figure out how to get the old one out till I saw the new one.Pop the old one out slide the 2 wires on the new one pop it back in place,good to go.

Removed the ice tray with nut driver underneath after removing and unplugging ice machine. Then by remembering, unplugged the necessary electric connectors because electric worked well(replaced electric last time I got a new assembly). The instructions in the package were not helpful. They wanted me to cut the wiring harness and described where to cut based on the wire colors. My wires were not the same color! I removed the light mechanism using a combination of a screwdriver, putty knife, and plain old muscle with my fingers! The wiring harness unplugged easily and th ... Read more e new one inserted. It was easy to push the whole assembly back into the door. I spent more time looking for something to cut the wiring harness with (and never did find it) than the whole job actually took without needing to cut anything!

Popped out the old light switch with a butter knife from the bottom first, disconnected the plug in. Install was just the reverse. Super easy fix

Popped out broken switch with blunt flat edged instrument. Disconnected switch from unit . Plugged new piece in and reinserted into side panel of refrigerator. Very easy.
