I removed it and put the new one in place.

I checked the model number inside the door and googled Maytag parts: Part Select had it in stock with a picture that showed it looked right for my dryer. I ordered it and it came very promptly--I exchanged the filter and the filter works fine--easy to do and prompt service from the Part Select.

I lifted out the old lint filter and inserted the new one. Piece of cake!!!!

Just replaced the old one.

Simply dropped it in. I have never had a simpler installation! Service was a+!

Opened box with knife and removed filter from sealed package. Inserted filter into filter slot just inside the dryer door. I'm very pleased this filter fits so precisely because the dryer is so old.

Throw the old one in the garbage. Slide the new one in. Hahahahahaaahahaa:)

It took more time to order the part than it did to replace it. VERY simple job. Open dryer door, remove lint filter and insert new lint filter.

I finally decided to find a replacement part and was led to you in my online search. Technology is amazing! Got out my flashlight to find the model # and filled in the order form and the next week the part was on my front stoop. Result: very happy wife!!
