The replacement turntable we received was an exact duplicate of the original. It was as easy as rinsing the new turntable, taking the old turntable out and putting the new one in.

every time I would try to do the self clean mode on my drop in range the thermostat blows. Last time it was still under warranty. I took the part number from the repair man's invoice to order the new part.

My husband took the back off and replaced it. The repairman suggested pulling the range out into the floor to run the self clean mode. I have owned several such ranges and have never had to do that and won't now. Easy Clean Oven Cleaner will be the next thing I use.

I had two issues, 1). The oven blower was making a lot of noise when the oven was turned on. 2). The microwave turntable wasn't turning.

The replacement of the blower was an easy repair. Just had to remove two back panels of the oven and the blower was then very accessable. Just remove the two electrical wires and then three screws and the blower came right off. Put the new blower on with the three screws and replaced the 10 or 12 screws holding the back panels and the job was complete!. The difficult part of the job was removing the combo unit from the cabinet to access the back panels. That part took some effort. Had to build a platform to slide the oven out onto after I disconnected the electrical feed wire (#6 wire) located in a junction box in my attic. Once that was done, the actual blower replacement was simple. The turntable motor was a different story...Although replacing the turntable motor was going to be as easy as replacing the blower motor, I couldn't access the underside of the microwave without disassembling the whole combo unit cabinet! That was very disappointing to me that Whirlpool didn't make that part easier to access, so I didn't replace the turntable motor. Too bad but we are just going to live with the turntable not turning!!

Right Torsion Spring broke at an elbow.

Watched a U-Tube video that was helpful but did not address how fragile the plastic door frame was that the exterior glass front sat in / mounted to. The plastic door frame holes did not have metal inserts and plastic door holes were enlarged/stripped. Had to use larger screws. Also the plastic door frame was fragile and cracked in a coup le locations. Luckily I was able to use duck tape to firm up the cracks in the plastic door frame. I tried to replace the plastic door frame but was not in stock/available.
That said easy to install the two Torsion Springs.

Oven temperature did match target temp entered on control panel.

I found that what was keeping the old temp sensor electrical connection attached to the stove-side connection was a little tab. It wasn't obvious that that was the thing that was keeping the connection secure but there weren't any other alternatives. So pushing the tab up with the metal probe (just a narrow rigid metal wire) allowed me to pull the connection apart.

All this takes place way at the back of the oven so its difficult to fiddle with a screwdriver and the retaining screws at arms length. Putting a bit of scotch tape around the screw to keep it attached to the screwdriver kept it from falling off. My hand was a bit shaky extended like that so that was the way to go.

Bottom line, if your oven won't reach or hold the temp you dial in on the control panel it's the temperature sensor. Now if I set it for 300 deg. that's what I get.

The spring on the door broke for 3rd time

Used the instructions I wrote up the last time. Printed them off, and still works like a charm.

This makes third time the spring has broken - last two times it has been the right side spring. Not the best designed microwave door. But at least with PartSelect having the part, and with PartSelect keeping my original instructio ns on the website, the repair is easy.

My oven (late 90's/early 2000's model) didn't have the flip-down hinge locks shown in the video. It seems Whirlpool/Kitchenaid changed the hinges even though they didn't change the model number of the oven. With my style hinges, you have to put Allen wrenches or bent nails in the holes just behind the hinge pins. Then close the door al most all the way and lift it out to separate the hinges. Spring force holds the nails in tightly until you replace the door. This video was very helpful:

Also, my door had 3 different kinds of sheet metal screws. Two of them have similar heads but different threads. Keep track of which is which for when you put everything back together.
