KECS16 KitchenAid Cooktop - Instructions

the part arrived in two days. Just had to remove the old one and pop in the new one and it was that easy. I was amazed at how soon the part was delivered and happy to have a working burner again.

Removed old block , cut off wires , used new wire nuts, heat shrink , supplied with parts , job done lowered range top went fishing ...

Repair? What repair? I just removed the old drip bowl and replaced it with the new one. Piece of cake.

a really simple fix! the parts came really quickly and all i had to do was pull the heating elements out along with the old drip pans and line up the new pans and push back in. the drip pans weren't 100% perfect as they were a universal fit, and were missing the clips that help the heating elements i nplace, but they look fine and do the ... extremely easy to replace the burner. I just pulled out the old burner and replaced with new one. The whole process took less than ten minutes.

lifted the cover, unscrewed the ceramic wire fastners, put the new part in, and voila, job done and working perfectly

Since it was a plug-in burner, only needed to pull it out and put the other one in.

Another thing I would like to say is that I was very well pleased with the service from partselect.com. I was unable to find the burners in my area.
Was very helpful in selecting the part and was very efficient in sending it.

Removed the old broken burner and slid the burner prongs into place. Very EASY to replace!

Read instuctions first Turn breaker off to stove or unplug to be sure. Remove burner and drip pans. Strip wire back and place shrink tubeover wires wire nut together heat with a lighter or heat gun then do remaining plugges. place back in cover and replace scews. make sure wire are not to long to get under burner when cook top lowered. Lower cook top and clean burner plug ends with a little sandpaper to make sure they make good connection. replace pans and burner. turn on breaker or plug in stove making sure the burners come on when turned on good luck g.d.

My friend came over to see if he could repair the burner on my stovetop. After the prcess of elimination he came up with a bad thermostat. Out local appliance store quoted a price of $76.00. even with the shipping cost the part was only $59.00. It took him less than 5 min. to install and poof I had a working burner. Cut the two wires approx 1 inch behind old connector and removed one screws to remove old connector, stripped approx 3/4 inch off the wires and connected them to the new wires on the new connector with wire caps and shrink wraps which came with the new connector. remove burner by hand and remove old drip bowl replace with new bowl inspect burner for ware and insert back into slot.

ordered, came the next day and just slid it on the gas stem

loosened the screw holding the block pulled it out toget to wire cut it about 4 inches long followed the inst.with block kit and it was a breeze. burner working fine now should have did it sooner.
