Everything worked perfectly---thanks to the suggestion of your call center agent. She suggested that since the replacement door handles were no longer available, I should consider repainting them--it worked like a charm. Please tell her she was a life saver. We rent that house in Fl and my returning tenants had complained about the discol

Took the door off, removed the screws, took door cover off, cleaned the other two pieces of glass and the new one, and then reassembled. I set the screws aside so I put them back in the same holes. I never want to take the chance of a possible cross threaded screw not going back into the same hole.

FIRST: I Shut off the circuit breaker to the oven. Then: 1. Removed convection-fan cover (it was partially blocking the bake-element screws). 2. Unscrewed 2 bake-element screws. 3. Pulled old bake element forward to expose connectors. 4. Disconnected both connectors and discarded the old element. 5.Connected the new element and pushed i

t in so that plate was flush against the back of the oven. 6. Re-installed the 2 element screws. 7. Re-installed convection-fan cover. LASTLY: Turned on the circuit breaker to the oven and baked a cake! IMPORTANT: The original screws can be very, very tight. When removing them, be sure to use a socket wrench or other tool that gets a firm grip on the hex heads, or you could round the corners of the heads, permanently damaging the screws.

Did not want to remove the pin from the new hinges, so found a proper rod and cut off two half inch pins to use in removing the door. followed the manual instructions. Took all of the screws out but did not notice that the four inside face screws were machine screws while all others were sheet metal screws. Had a little difficulty in get

ting the four machine screws to engage the bottom holes of the new hinges. Reinstalled the door and all works fine. It is too bad that we could not purchase just a new hinge spring instead of the entire unit. It is kind of a waste. I suspect that self cleaning ovens generate a very high heat which eventually weakens the hinge. The upper oven will likely fail in the future, but at least I know how to repair it.

Not difficult, but there are several layers of glass, metal, and insulation inside this door. Keep track of where the screws go and have room to lay out all the layers. You'll reach the cracked inner glass last.
