First I turned the power off to the oven. Then I tried to take out the nuts holding in the element. One nut came off easily, the other one was rusted on, I had to use wd40 to loosen it. The project was easy once I got that nut off. I pulled out the element, which is connected to two wires. I took those screws out, connected the

new element to the wires, re-attached the screws, pushed it back in, attached the nuts that hold the element in the oven. Then I turned the power back on and the oven works like a charm. I installed it the day I got it. I was surprised how quickly it was shipped to my house. I am so glad I repaired the oven, a new one would have cost over $800, I bought the element for less than $30, including shipping! It also sets a good example for my daughter. It taught her that her mom can repair things too, it's not just something men can do!

First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and made sure that there was no power feeding the element. Next I disconnected the two wires that power the element. I then removed the old element and replaced it with the new element. Tightened the screws but had to be careful

I read your website repair testimonials by previous customers and used that advise to do the job. I liked the suggestion to use something to attach to the unattached wires so they don't slip back into the unit. I used two clothespins. I had one stubborn electrical connection to disconnect so it took a little longer -about 30 minutes. Bu

First job was power off! Next step was to remove the two screws holding the element to rear wall of oven. Next is was to gently pull the wires through the hole as far as possible. At this point I needed pliers to stabilize the joint while I removed the two screws of the electrical connection. Now it was easy to clean the oven to remove a

rc residue. Now it was a matter of reassemble. Hardest point was getting the screws started in the electrical connections without cross threading while reaching in over the door. Use pliers to ensure you don't bend the connection wires on the element. Finally remount the element with the two original screws. This was the second element to fail. Last time I removed the oven door for better access. I think it was quicker with door on but a lot more bending and reaching.
