Microwave made loud buzz noise and did not heat

I followed the generic trouble shooting directions on the web site. It suggested either diode, capacitor and/or magnetron. I test each. All tested OK except diode. It was supposed to measure open in one direction and appox 200k ohms in the other direction. My diode measured open in both directions (tried multiple times, multiple sett ings). I replaced the diode. The order process was great and it shipped immediately. I knew I was in trouble when I measured the new diode and it too was open in both directions. It was easy to install but unfortunately no joy - did not solve the problem. At this point it is likely cheaper just to buy a new one

Followed the instructions on your website and a YouTube video. The diode was at a 90 degree angle which made it a little trickier. Unfortunately the repair did not resolve the problem. I ended up buying a new microwave for temporary use for less than ordering any more parts. We are pleased with your website, instructions, ease of inst allation though!

Unscrewed the vent at top of microwave exposing small access to bulb. The access to this was very limited so that was the major issue in changing the bulb. You needed small hands to do the job.

It is easy to repair the burnt out bulb if one has the correct bulb. Your website is very user friendly and your service is great. I was not able to replace the bulb at this time because our RV is at the repair shop for some other matters. I am sure the installation of the new bulb will go smoothly. Thanks for asking. I used a flat screwdriver blade to push out the rivet. Then used the screwdriver to loosen the fan cover and gave it a little twist. It came out with no problem. There was some grease build up on the aluminum fan, so I cleaned it. I placed the clean fan into the new fan cover and put it back in place in the microwave. There are several no tches to match up, and then I gave it a slight twist to secure the notches. Then, the new rivet was put into the hole and pushed to make it secure. Finished!

  • Susana from PHOENIX, AZ
  • A Bit Difficult
  • 30 - 60 mins

My oven is installed above the counter making it a bit difficult to reach the screws closest to the wall. Instructions should note that both harnesses need to be disconnected and that there are two screws, not one holding the motor. This one issue made it frustrating since that screw is located towards the back away from your vision. Thi s is when the flash light and a bit of contortions were required.
