Wish I just had the correct replacement wire to begin with. Nonetheless, we are stocked with a full bin of ice after about 3-4 days.

This is the 2nd ice maker replace in the past 20 months. This installation was easier following the experience of the first replacement. The instructions are well written. Followed the video instructions posted below the product. Its a tight area to work in but it can be done. It did not immediately start making ice. I waited and waited.... 3 hrs 4 hrs still not filling up or making ice. Finally I decided to pour some water in the tray and see if it would freeze ice and dump it. It did and immediately start ... So dont be alarmed if yours doesnt work immediately and try pouring some water in it if yours doesnt being working within several hrs. I am happy I was able to do this myself and save repair man costs. Its just not work the cost they charge for older appliances.

Took front off and found the broken spring, got new one and replaced, now works great. Make sure to unplug as the water can come on and flood the freezer.

Called a repair man. He said it was a a sensor type valve at the bottom back of fridge and he would have to order. He never called us, so we went to website and ordered it. Replaced it. It WAS obviously burned out/dicolored. Bracket had to be redone, as it wasn't standard. Didn't work. Ordered new icemaker. Worked like a charm. Vi ...
