Replaced the gasket and the hinge assembly. Replaced the hinge assembly on the freezer door as well since it was worn. YOU DO NOT NEED A DREMEL to cut anything. DON'T CUT ANYTHING. Super easy. I prepped the door for the hinge replacement the night before. Removed fridge magnets, etc. Moved everything from inside the door to the shelves. Got home from work (package was there in two days, fast) and it took 5 minutes for the Fresh Food Door hinge replacement. Removed hinge cover, removed 4 hex screws (two on top and two on bottom). Swapped hinge and cam. Be sure to use the cam that came with the hinge. Always replace in pairs. Freezer was more tricky. Turned off water. Had to remove a clip (small phillips head screw) on the white tubing. Unscrewed plastic nut. Pulled off spring from tubing. Set spring, nut, and clip with screw aside. Removed hinge cover, unplugged electronics, removed 4 hex screws (two on top and two on bottom). Swapped hinge and cam. Super easy.

Empty all the good stuff stored in the door. Remove top hinge, lift off door. Remove bottom hinge from door and refrigerator, replace with new hinges. Replace door and reinstall top hinge. There were some great posts on similar repairs that made me realize that it was best to get the whole hinge assembly. The video regarding the repair was completely accurate down to the size of the socket wrench required.

The only hiccup was that the video instruction was for the fridge side door, so there wasn't step by step instruction for dealing with the electrical connection at the top of door or the water line at the bottom. I found you web sight. Determined I needed the hinge assembly. Followed the instructions in the video on your web sight, and it was all better.

I watched the "How To" video on the Parts Select web site twice. The video was very helpful, kind of like having someone right there with you showing you how to replace the hinge. I emptyed the door shelves, removed the top hinge hexscrews and easily lifted the door off the lower hinge, pieces of the broken cam hinge on the door fell off. ... Read more I set the door on the floor in front of the sink with the handle edge on the floor. I unbolted the hinge and installed the new one. I loosened one screw on the door cam hinge and removed the other, easily replacing the broken part. Before tightening the screws I checked to make sure the hinge hole in the door was not blocked by the new cam hinge. I lifted the door and water ran out from somewhere. I tried to set the door on the lower hinge several times with no luck. I rechecked the hole, it was still clear. I tried placing the door on the refrigerator using the seal to hold it in place, that worked but I couldn't get the door to drop down onto the hinge. I played with it some more and finally got it in place, reinstalled the top hinge, mopped up the water and tried the door. It didn't self close. I adjusted the top hinge a couple of times and applied a little silicone to the hinges, it still didn't self close. I told my wife to make sure the door closes completely and reloaded the stuff into door. After a couple of days it now closes by itself like it's supposed to. In retrospect, I was alone doing the replacement and it really was an easy job but a second person to help line up the lower hinge would have helped a lot.

Read more ould use a couple of wood blocks tall enough to take the weight of the door, jacking it up off of the hinge so could loosen the hex head screws. The freezer door hinge took a few minutes longer because the water supply line for the icemaker which is routed through the tube in the hinge. Overall, an easy repair and the cost of two repair visits was saved.

Followed directions in your video. Very helpful. Be certain to pay strict attention to how old part is removed. Had a little trouble replacing door on lower pin/hinge. Helps to have a little assistance. Good suggestion from another customer: get the kit.

Removed the top hinge of the right-hand door, removed the door, replaced the cam riser on the bottom of the door, then replaced the door and top hinge. Simple and easy.

(7) Re-attach the top hinge screws, making sure the door is parallel to the freezer door. It took about 10 minutes to do all of the above. Best yet, I ordered the kit about 10am on a Monday, and the parts arrived, normal delivery, before noon the next day.PS- I used petroleum jelly to grease the hinge before replacing the door. The only tool I needed was a nutdriver.
