CRE9530BCM Maytag Wall Oven - Instructions

Put the back of stove on blocks of wood to get high enough to screw the new leg in.

Extremely simple repair to make. Move stove away from wall and disconnect power. Remove the oven racks. Remove the rear sheet metal panel covering the wiring harnesses. Caution: Sharp edges and corners on sheet metal.Sensor is located in upper left corner on rear oven wall. Using a long-shafted #2 Philips screwdriver, remove the two Phili ... Read more ps head screws and gently pull the sensor 1" away from the oven wall. At this point, it will help to have an assist from someone while you are behind the range. Have the assistant gently tug on the sensor while you watch for wires moving on the rear of the range. After locating the sensor wires, gently disconnect the plastic connector clip. Note: plastic connectors become brittle with age and exposure to heat Move to front of range and gently remove sensor from rear wall by pulling the wiring through the oven wall. Before inserting the new sensor wire through the oven wall, "dry fit" the wiring connectors to see that the new sensor is a correct connection. Make connection, and secure the sensor to the rear oven wall with the two screws. Install racks, reinstall rear sheet metal panel, and connect the power. Set the oven baking temperature to a moderately low temp, 300 - 350 deg. to test the new sensor.

Removed 2 screws, disconnected wires, attached wires to new element, put screws back. Turned oven on. Perfect.

I removed the two mounting screws and pulled the harness through the opening unsnapped the sensor from the harness and installed the new sensor i didn't have to used the adapters the new sensor fitted

I had the problem before and had to call in a Tech to repair the baking element in my oven. It cost me $150.00 for the repair. Unplugged the range. Took our the oven shelves. Unscrewed the bars holding the broken bake element to the back of the oven wall. Gently pulled out the wiring to which the bake element is attached. Slipped the ends of the broken bake element off the ending on the wiring. Then slipped the ends of the new bake element over the ends on ... Read more the wiring. Then pushed the wiring with attached bake element back into their position behind the oven wall and attached the bars holding the bake element to the back of the oven wall. This is really easy because it is exactly like the on-line video, for I am a 75 year old female with little technical experience.

Removed two screws and disconnected the element. Reconnected the new element and reinstalled the screws

Unplugged the range, removed screws holding the old sensor. When I pulled it out, the wire connecting to the sensor was completely broken through,therefore I could not just pull the wire to get to the connector. Unscrewed one side of back panel to access the connector. Pushed the connector and wire of the new sensor through the hole ( and ... Read more behind the insulation), disconnected the old sensor and connected the new one. Re screwed the new connector in place plus rescrewed the back panel. Plugged the range in and - Viola! Everything now works like a charm and I have my oven back. Easy-Peasy. Oh - I am an older female with very limited DYI experience. I just saved myself $650.00!

The part came quick and packed very well. I moved the stove out and un pluged it. opened oven door and took a philips screwdriver and took the screws out at the back of element..Slid it out with the two wires attached and unpluged the conectors. pluged the conectors on to the new element and slid it back in. ****Threw the breaker switch for the oven to the 'off' position****. Opened the oven. Unscrewed the phillips head screws at the back of the old element. Removed the connecting wire, taping them to the stove so that they wouldn't recede into the hole. Securely attached the connecting wires to the new element. Pushed the wires back into th ... Read more e holes in the stove. Removed the tape from the oven. Screwed the element into place. ****Threw the breaker switch back to the 'on' position****. Process took under 10 minutes.

DO NOT FORGET TO UNPLUG OR TURN OFF BREAKER BEFORE DOING ANYTHING WITH THE WIRES. Don't forget to turn it back on again when you are done.

pulled breaker,removed oven door,removed 2 screws,pulled bake element out 3 inches,pulled connections off,pushed connectors on new element,pushed new element back and replaced screws,replaced oven door ,pushed breaker back and turned on oven and let it heat up to 350 degrees.
Total time 10 minutes,even a caveman could do it.

Turn Off the BREAKER!!!
Unplug the stove/oven
Opened the oven door
Unscrewed the baking element for the oven
Pulled the old element out about 3"
Disconnected the wire clip on both sides
Plugged the element into the clips
Screwed element back into place
Plugged oven in ,turned on breaker

My husband has moved out of state for his job. I am left here with the children until the house sells. This is the first time I have ever had to do any oven repair. Read more ed the new one, pushed it back in, and replaced the screws. No problem at all. I was a little nervous turning it all back on, but it is working perfectly!

First I cut the power to the stove. Then I unscrewed the two screws. Pulled the element out a few inches. I had to use pliers to disconnect it from its wires. It was a very tight fit. Then I reconnected the new element. Cut the power back and and fired her up. Boy did she burn like fire.

Unplugged stove, unscrewed element pulled element out about 3 inces and disconnected element. Took model of stove looked on line for part. PartSelect had the best price and easiest web site to order part. Ordered part about 4pm and received part in 2 days.
