CRE9500CCM Maytag Wall Oven - Instructions

I took the broiler pan out of the shipping container and put it in the oven.

Took screws out of the back on the side the sensor was on, unplugged it & took out the two screws on the inside of the oven to release the sensor. Put new sensor in place with the two screws & used one of the adapters to plug in the new sensor. Put screws back in the back panel & turned on the oven which unfortunately is still 50 degrees ... Read more low. Need a new clock with computer which is out of stock & unavailable. I was an electrician for 25 years so didn't experience any problems. It was a cheap thing to try.

I Lifted the oven door from the hinges and removed all the screws to get to the broken glass pane, since the oven door is in layers I taped the screws close to where they belonged, so that I could screw everything together again in the right order..

Replaced the thermostat according to existing videos and had to adjust the thermostat using instuctions in the user manual for model CWE4800ACB.

Got a bent metal coathook to temporarily release the oven door, removed the screws from the old probe, inserted the new one, and hooked it up, using the one of the plug adapters provided. Problem solved! The oven door latch was now disengaged, the oven would now accept temperature inputs, and the rear cooling fan (which wouldn't shut off) ... Read more now turned off. Ordered element and recieved in two days(yea). Removed back cover from unit. Removed two wire slide on wire clips. Then went inside oven cavity and removed two screws holding element intact. The element slid out. Installed element, re-installed two screws to hold element intact. Attached wire clips back on to element, re-attached back ... Read more cover. Plugged unit back in and it worked perfectly. Eazy-peezy lemon squeezy.

Very simple fix--unpugged two fittings in the back of oven plugged in the new element and it was done.The Best part was that the element burned out on a Sunday and I ordered the part that day and it shipped on Monday and received part on Wed AM.This is the second time I've had to replace the element and by ordering through Part Select I s ... Turned off all power to range.
Removed two Philip head screws
Gentle pulled unit Element forward
Removed two push on connectors
(Do not let wires fall back into oven holes)

Reversed the process.

removed the old element by taking out two screws then removed the two wires. pulled out the old element , put the new one in . connected the wires and screwed it in. Done.

POWER OFF! Unplugged oven from wall.

(Note: I found it easier to disconnect the wires from the element by removing the rear cover. Fumbling around inside the oven was getting me nowhere.)

Removed rear cover.
Disconnected old element.
Unscrewed the old element from inside the oven, removed, and installed t ... Read more he new element. Screwed the new element in place.
Reconnected wires in back, installed the back cover.
Connected power.
Tested. Good as new.

I removed the two screws at the rear of the oven and pulled out the existing element, plugged in the new element, pushing it back in place and mounted the screws back in the bracket. I then made the "Tim the Tool Man" grunt noises feeling very proud that I am now officially a Handy Woman!

Easiest repair ever.

#1 - Turn off power (or you will get electricutued).
#2 - Unscrew back of heating elements
#3 - Disconnect wires (may need pliers)
#4 - Attach new heating element
#5 - Put in screws

Everything took 15 mintes max.

Seems every 5 years this bake element totally disintegrates, so we,re experienced! Pull the stove out and remove the back, remove the 2 screws that hold the element(now in 5 pieces), diconnect and discard. Place new element in and connect, replace the 2 screws holding the element in place. Replace stove back. Easy

Extremely simple repair to make. Move stove away from wall and disconnect power. Remove the oven racks. Remove the rear sheet metal panel covering the wiring harnesses. Caution: Sharp edges and corners on sheet metal.Sensor is located in upper left corner on rear oven wall. Using a long-shafted #2 Philips screwdriver, remove the two Phili ... Read more ps head screws and gently pull the sensor 1" away from the oven wall. At this point, it will help to have an assist from someone while you are behind the range. Have the assistant gently tug on the sensor while you watch for wires moving on the rear of the range. After locating the sensor wires, gently disconnect the plastic connector clip. Note: plastic connectors become brittle with age and exposure to heat Move to front of range and gently remove sensor from rear wall by pulling the wiring through the oven wall. Before inserting the new sensor wire through the oven wall, "dry fit" the wiring connectors to see that the new sensor is a correct connection. Make connection, and secure the sensor to the rear oven wall with the two screws. Install racks, reinstall rear sheet metal panel, and connect the power. Set the oven baking temperature to a moderately low temp, 300 - 350 deg. to test the new sensor.

Removed 2 screws, disconnected wires, attached wires to new element, put screws back. Turned oven on. Perfect.
