CRE683 Maytag Range - Instructions

Was glad to get the correct ones for a 30 year old stove. Had already wasted $12 shipping trying to order from someone else.

Ordered and received the terminal block. Installed it along with a new 220V power cord and the appropriate insulator . Ensured the terminals were tight with a nut driver. Reinstalled cover. And, I was relieved that the control panel had not been shorted out as the terminal block was due to a loose connection. Easy fix.

took out old element, replaced with new.

Took one knob off and put the new one on .

Turned off power, first then removed two screws
from bracket holding element. Then removed two
screws from element mounting bracket. I then
disconnected two wires using piers, and one with
a screwdriver. then put the newone in, in reverse.

The hardest part was taking out original light bulb because screws on shield where hard to unscrew after all this years . The old bulb vent out leaving neck in socket. It took narrow electrical pliers to get neck out .The generic appliance bulb did not fit and had aluminum neck ,not recommended for brass sockets in ovens.Putting new ligh ... Once oven was removed from wall not to bad

Removed old element and element gasket. Replaced both by alining gasket with element and screwing in retaining screws. Jod completed.

Removed the old timer and installed the new one without any problems.

Screwed in light bulb and glass protector

My husband took the plastic cover off and took out old bulb and screwed in the new one. Then put the cover back on.

very easy

1. Unscrewed glass cover on bulb
2. Removed old bulb
3. Screwed in new bulb
4. Replaced glass cover
5. Mixed drink & baked cupcakes

Replaced with new drip pans. Not a perfect fit, but good enough for the requirement.
