CGL2000RW169 General Electric Dryer - Instructions

Replace both micro switches.

Put the knob on and turned.

Wife was out of town, visiting family. I broke the door strike by wedging the dryer door between the laundry room door, closed the laundry room door and it snapped the door strike breaking it. Opened the package. pushes the new knob on and voila it worked! It was very easy.

Just placed it where it belonged.

No brainer

I took off the old dryer knob and put on the new one

Replaced the rear drum bearing. Not doing it before ,it took about 1 1/2 hrs. Problem was fixed.

Remove the bottom cover of dryer to look at the motor, see belt hanging remove broken belt. Remove screws from the top and front, slide belt over drum put small piece of tape to hole belt in place replace screws go back to the rear pull belt over the motor pulley close back panel

I followed the YouTube video and it gave me step by step instructions however I really needed to replace my dryer slides to fix the problem.

Took the dryer apart to get to the rear bearing. Took the bearing assembly out, kept the e-ring from the old bearing shaft, replaced the bearing kit, took the o-ring off the new shaft and replaced it with the e-ring, then reassembled the unit. Make sure to place a nail or long screw into into the rear of the drum, so that you can realig ... Read more n bearing on the drum. It is easier with two people when reassembling.
