ATB2 Refrigerator - Instructions

Took out glass shelf to clean. Shelf exploded into a billion little pieces for no apparent reason. Received replacement shelf the next day (with the 3 - 5 day shipping). Cleaned glass, placed in ice box. Viola!

The new Ice Maker Assembly arived in less than 24 hours. I was amazed that it came so fast.

I had already removed the old ice maker in order to get the modle number.

simple snap in replacement. the best part is the local repair store said my refridgerator model did not exist. i found your company on the internet and the rest is history. if i ever need parts again i know where to go. thanks

removed the clip that the motor was attached too put the new motor back on reinstalled the clip back on the fridge plugged the wire harness in and works perfect now . it was easier to remove the clip than to try to install the motor by itself its just to tight and you cant get in there

Unplugged the machine removed the bottom plate and back plate and ice maker.Removed 2 wires to motor and ground wire.Removed 2 mounting nuts for motor,installed new motor and used old fan blade for new motor .Reinstalled in reverse order plugged in and tested fine.

I only needed to set the endcap and trim piec es in place, no tools involved

First I looked at the Partselect schematic to discover what I was dealing with.

There were only three parts that could have failed, the timer, thermostat or the defrost heater.

It worked, Search the web to a video on testing the defrost timer. It's there and good, really simple. I got a $1.00 tester from the dollar store and it did the trick.

Next test was on thermostat, so I had to remove the ice maker, one screw and the back panel of the freezer 4 screws. It was full of ice. I allowed the ice to melt and located the thermostat and defrost heater. The defrost heater is behind the cooling element, lower rear, it sits in two clips, one on each end. It is a glass tube with wire coiled inside and a simple plug on each end,

I tested the thermostat and it seemed fine so I lifted the element up and out, unplugged it, installed the new one (Be careful not to touch glass with bare fingers this will cause a hot spot on the glass from your finger print and damage the part, clean it with rubbing alcohol to remove your oils off of the glass, let dry), plugged it in, rescrewed the back, put the ice maker back, watch that the water supply hose does not kink, plug in icemaker, plugged the refridgerator back in and wala it worked.

I noted that the fan wouldn't run so I remove the trim so I could check the power. Once I saw there was power but the fan wouldn't run I was convince it needed rreplacement. To get the fan loose I had to remove the wiring and remove several screws. I then had to remove the fan blade with the needle nose pliers. I just reversed the ord ... its not that hard to replace. may need help to tilt fridge on one side so you can get to the bottom to remove wheel.Had to undo all four corner screws/bolts to loosen bottom section and slowly pull out base frame which holds the 4 wheels. this frame is also holding the compressor and fan so be careful.replace wheel and slowly put frame ba ... Read more ck to position and screw back bolts. pull back fridge to upright position. leave unplugged for a day or two to allow gas to come back to normal level as we had tilted it.plug it back and it works.

I unplugged the fridge. Loosened the 2 top screws on the ice maker and removed the lower screw. I disconnected the wiring harness and removed the Ice maker. I removed the plastic timer cover in front. I then loosened the screws on the face of the ice maker and removed the broken ice stripper and replaced it with a new one. Re-tightened th ... Read more e screws on the face, installed the timer cover, plugged in the wiring harness, re-attached the ice maker. Plugged the fridge back in and walla, it was making ice in 30 minutes!

The repair was so simple. I removed the old icemaker in about 3 minutes and unpacked and installed the new one is about 10 minutes. It was literally a matter of removing a few screws! Eady to follow instructions!

Replacing the door seal only involved unscrewing about 50 screws, attaching the new seal, & screwing all 50 screws back in. I'm glad I have a good electric screwdriver. The hard, if not impossible part, is trying to get the door to seal properly again. At first the door wouldn't close all the way, so after 2 hours of tinkering, it will ... The old icemaker had a bad motor and would stall in the fill cycle causing my kitchen to flood on occasion.

The new one was so quiet, I thought it didn't work!

Anyway, one nutdriver and 5 minutes and I had the new one in there... It is so quiet, and I always have plenty of ice now!!!

First I unplugged the refrigerator, then next I removed the (4) screws holding in the inside back panel section of the freezer covering the cooling coils, the fan motor is attached to the removable panel.
I then unplugged the wiring harness to the fan motor which allows you to completely remove the freezer inside panel in order to r ... Read more eplace the fan motor on a counter top or benchtop.
I removed the (3) spade terminal wiring from the fan motor and the nuts holding the motor on the frame. I then replaced the fan motor and blade the same way I had removed the old one, and then reattached the wiring terminals on the same terminals as the existing motor, making sure that black, red, and green do not get mixed up. I placed the rear panel back inside freezer and plugged in the wiring harness, fit panel back to original position and reinstalled the (4) panel screws. I once again plugged in the refrigerator and restored power. Everything is working fine.

Unplugged refrigerator. Removed lower back access panels and panel running up the back of refrigerator. Removed and disconnected old fan. Removed old fan motor from mounting bracket. Removed fan blade from old fan motor and placed on new fan motor. Connected new fan motor to power supply. Tested. Reinstalled.
