First, I unplugged the power cord from the receptacle. I then removed two philiphead screws that hold the element in place. I the pulled the element out about an inch and a half . I then disconnected the the two wires from the element. The I connected the replacement element and resecured it with the two mounting screws. I assured everyth ing was correct and then I plugged in the power cord and turned the oven on low heat to give it a test. Everything workout just great. The part was just what I needed.

I turned off the breaker and unscrewed the element. Removed the plug connection and once I got the correct part, we plugged it in, screwed it back into the oven wall and done! I am a single female and was able to replace the heating element in a short amount of time with assistance from my 16 year old son!! I was very surprised at how ea sy it was to repair. The key is to get the correct part the 1st time!

baking element replacement

  • Roland from Stevens Point, WI
  • Easy
  • Less than 15 mins
  • Screw drivers
Very simple fix. I pulled the stove away from the wall and unplugged from outlet. Open the oven door and remove the oven racks. I used a phillips screw driver to remove the 2 screws holding the element and then pulled out. There were 2 wires attached to the element, those just pull off. Just reverse the process with the new element and yo u are good to go.

Broiler Replacement
2 of 3 people found this instruction helpful.
  • Nick from Cottonwood Heights, UT
  • Easy
  • 15 - 30 mins
  • Pliers, Screw drivers
Oven was missing the broiler element when I moved in so the connector/wires to plug the broiler were no longer visable in the main part of the oven (otherwise the repair would take 2 minutes). Moved oven away from wall and unplugged. Unscrewed sheet metal on the back of oven and found the broiler wires (the only two NOT connected to somet hing). Fed the wires back into the oven and plugged in the broiler. Attached the broilers to the top hooks. Put sheet metal back on. Everything worked fine. I wouldn't say I know much about fixing things, but this was a very straight-forward job.
