removed the shield and removed the old tube. Replaced with the new tube and replaced the shield. The only place I could locate this tube was through the internet. This Co. had as good a price including shipping that I found.

I used a phillips screwdriver to remove the control switch. I drew a diagram on a piece paper where the wire contacts connected I wrote the different # and wire colors down . I compared the 2 switches they were the same. So I connected the wires . I put the 2 screws on. The stem was higher than the other switchers. So I had to cut

the stem shorter. It had groves so it was easy to use a hacksaw to cut a little then use a lock pliers to hold the stem and another to break it off then it fit perfect I put the knob on presto new switch. Just like new.

Unplug power cord, remove wires from block. take 2 screws out. replace with new block about 15 mins. Done

Thanks for the previous viewer's tip, disconnect power, pushed the cook top out of the counter and used a wood block for the support. Unscrew the smooth top from the burner, remove old and plug in the new one. Connect power, test OK. Put everything back.

The repair was very easy. It took me less than ten minutes. There were only five screws including two to hold heat element that I have to unscrew and transferred the old clip the screw onto new heat element.

I went to the source of power on the stove and noticed one of the terminals had come loose from the terminal block and had shorted out against the cover of the terminal junction. Pulled range away from wall and unplugged it. Pulled smoothtop out a bit to clear retaining clips. Swung top up and unplugged the cable going to top. Removed top hinge so top could be removed. Put top upside down on a table to work on. Removed wires from bad burner and then removed screws holding the burner in place. Replaced bad burner w
