Due to the way the appliance was installed, it was impossible to get to the outer vent grille mounting screws. My husband was finally able to pry the grille cover off with a screwdriver. remove 4 screws from top, front louvered panel snaps out. remove 1 screw from top of keypad, keypad pivot's forward and can be removed. There is a white mounting bracket inside left. I didn't do the repair -- my husband did, said it was easy, had no problems what so ever! The new bulbs give a lot more light to the cooking area.

All the electrics worked on Amana microwave EXCEPT for the cooking function. Inspected the control board and found the upper switch on the door interlock was burnt. The problem I have with changing the bulb is my microwave is an overhead one and therefore I cannot tip it on its side to easily replace the bulb. I have to drop the lid down and carefully install the new bulb from underneath.

You had alerted that it was imperative to unplug unit before starting to remove defective bulb. As described, there was silicon on bulb and socket and bulb broke upon my attempt to remove. Had to use needle nose pliers to get metal base of old bulb from socket, then all went well.

removed grill cover, removed bulb plate, unscrew bulb, screw new bulb in socket,put bulb cover back on and screw grill cover back on. no issues whatsoever.

It literally took me longer to unpackage the fuse than to install it. I removed the outer shell by unscrewing the five screws, lifted it off and set it aside. The old fuse was readily visible so I pulled it out and put the new one in its place. I set the shell back on and replaced the screws. I plugged it in and ran it for 30 seconds ... A $20 part saved me from having to purchase a new microwave (sadly, I had to break the news to the wife).

Just took the plate out the packaging & rinsed,dried and put in the oven. I was so happy I found it @partselect online& it came in the next day or two. Will definitely use them again. It was a fraction of the cost from local parts store.
