Removed the old oven bottom by removing two nuts. Be careful...don't drop the nuts! Removed the heat shield that was attached with four nuts to the old bottom and transferred it to the new oven bottom. Then placed the new bottom in the oven and secured it with the two original nuts. I read the instructions from other peoples repairs. One note: unplug stove, and turn gas off, remember where wires go. I didnt have to remove top of stove completly.

Opened up the top of the stove using a screwdriver. Lifted it up about 3 inches and legs popped out on each corner and held it in that position. Traced the wire to the back and down to the oven. I then unhooked old thermostat from 2 clips, inserted new one and then went to the front and unsrewed the 2 small screws behind the oven control knob. Magnetic bit on screwdriver is a must! Pulled it back and removed wires one at atime and put onto new unit, then screwed it back in place and replaced knob. Plugged it in and turned it on. It came on ,stayed lit. Turned it off and it stayed lit- surprised me. . . . . . 25 Seconds or so and it went out. . . . . Job done!!

Husband actually did the repair, It went really well except he forgot to remove the heat shield from the old part to attach to the new bottom. (His mistake!)

Remover the old gasket and replaced it with the new. The small prongs I removed with pliers. Need to make sure that the new gasket isn't twisted when you put it on.

Unplugged stove. Removed the top rear panel to see where the thermostat cable fed into the oven. Left the current cable in place and fed new cable along side the old one. Pulled out the old cable once new one was installed. Attached wires to new thermostat and installed. Turned oven on to test. Everything went great.

I used the pliers to remove the old pins, and popped then new pins in place...super simple!

I removed two bolts at the rear of the oven bottom. I pulled the old oven bottom out, and put the new oven bottom in. I put the two bolts back in and voila it looks like a new oven. Done in less than 15 minutes.

Parts arrived in record time and the right parts. The detailed diagram was so helpful in finding exactly the part I needed to order. Was so easy my girlfriend with no mechanical or electrical experience completely helped me through the entire project. I showed her how the little white box simply slides off the lens cover, then replaced the new one in the holes and slide it back on. Secured the back and she turned on the breaker back on...and all lights work. Thanks for making this project easy, simple and quick.

Remove light bail, glass cover held by two nut screws. Pull socket, removed clips in back, replaced wire connectors, placed new socket in, then glass cover and bail. Wire connected in back, cover plate replaced.

removed old gasket and clips, replaced with new gasket that came with clips. easy. worked well.

Turned off circuit breaker, Then pulled out range, straight out and away from wall and cabinets. Layed braket on flooring and moved stove back in to make certain it aligned with range rear stands. I use needle nose pliers to remove the old gasket tabs and clean the area with a scouring pad. Then I just lined the gasket up with the holes on the door and pushed the holding tab into the holds.Very easy and simple job.

First of all I had to find the right part from Partselect, which was very easy, delivery was fantastically fast even tho I didn`t order special delivery. Read more sor through the correct hole. I had to remove a couple of cover plates to see where the hole was. Put it back together, lit the oven and the temps were correct, as shown by an oven thermometer.

Replaced the oven thermostat and calibrated the new thermostat by adjusting the temperature setting knob. Instruction I found on-line were very helpful and the repair was moderately difficult. Trickiest part was threading the new thermostat into the oven. Total repair time about 1 hour.
